So...this group
@Guy Cohen I randomly was cruising Discoveries and came across Tinnitus Reset Toolbox and said, what the heck let me join. I've had this this issue for years and years, working in very loud environments machining metal parts since High School. I just figured it was part of life living in a bubble and that's the way it is. Fast forward I start going through the material here and I am sooo not alone you all!! I picked up my new hearing aids Friday May 1st and have been listening to things I have not heard since I was a kid. Birds chirping even the clacking of the keys as I type this! Are you kidding me? Cheers all! Tears of joy! (Posted in the ๐Ÿ†Wins category)

That's really great. Good for you ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป My right ear became Sudden Deaf 4 October 25 and I now know how it feels when you don't hear the birds anymore ๐Ÿ˜” ๐Ÿ˜ญ I have a Starkey hearing aid ๐Ÿฆป๐Ÿป to Test, but even with this one in, I can't hear them sing ๐Ÿฆwith my "bad" ear but I hear them now when I use both of my ears. I hope I'll get an hearing aid that will give me back my "normal" hearing back again. I'm on a waiting list for the Audiological center. Since I've been to the craniosacral and neurofeedback therapy the Tinnitus and ringing sound in my right ear became lower. But since I practice 9D Breathwork I have the idea that the Tinnitus is more to the background and I don't pay attention to it anymore. Just in stressful situations, like now, that my neighbor is threatening me again, the Tinnitus and ringing are louder. What kind of hearing aid do you have? So keep it up the good work ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป and enjoy everything you can hear now again ๐ŸŒž๐Ÿ€๐Ÿฅฐ
A tinnitus question I hear a lot:
โ€œIโ€™ve watched your videos, read your posts and tried the toolsโ€ฆ but I just donโ€™t see how anyone could habituate to my tinnitus. Itโ€™s so loud, so intrusiveโ€ฆ it takes over everything and makes me anxious.โ€ If this is how you feel, please know you're not alone. It's a place many of us have been and it can feel impossible to imagine things ever changing. ๐Ÿ™‹โ€โ™‚๏ธ My story As many of you already know, I went through severe tinnitus for many years. There was a point where it almost brought me down to my knees. I was in a really dark place and couldnโ€™t see a way forward. It felt like tinnitus was running my life. But then something changed. I had a breakthrough. Slowly, things started to shift. And here I am today, sharing everything Iโ€™ve learned, all the tools, strategies, and approaches that helped me rebuild my life. My mission is to help you do the same. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’™ ๐ŸŒฑ There is a path forward Research and clinical experience show that people do move through stages of habituation, regardless of how loud or intrusive tinnitus feels. The American Tinnitus Association outlined four common stages that many people go through on their journey. Itโ€™s not a straight line. And not everyone moves at the same pace. But it gives us something very important: A mapโ€ฆ and a sense of hope. I attached a simple visual of the 4 stages of habituation below. ๐Ÿ‘‰ What stage do you feel youโ€™re in right now? ๐Ÿ‘‰ And what do you feel is the biggest challenge preventing you from moving to the next stage? Please vote and comment below. If you prefer, send me a direct message with your thoughts. I read every comment and message, and Iโ€™m here to help. ๐Ÿ™ Yours truly, (your tinnitus) Guy.

Iโ€™m working on something that could help tinnitus sufferers better understand where they are in their own (relief & habituation) journey and what kinds of tools make the most sense for them. Anyone excited? ๐Ÿคฉ

@Guy Cohen I had a lot of stress last year. I think that That was it. But the doctors cannot tell me what it caused ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿง they say it could have been a virus also ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ My feeling about the cause is the massive stress I've gone through... My neighbor has problems with my and my boyfriend, who doesn't live with me. My neighbor threatened me and more stuff. Damaged my boyfriends car, throws food against my house and eggs in the garden etc etc... So long story short ๐Ÿ˜ฌ I've got the police involved and thehousing association. I've got cameras now, he had a big warning โš ๏ธ and since then he is quiet. But my nervous system was over Alert but is now resetting . Then I also was on a holiday with my nephews daughter. Her father, my nephew lives in Panama. But that holiday was not what I expected that it should be. It was not relaxed and didn't feel good. When I came back, my neighbor started again...So it was a lot, the past year. My left ear is nothing wrong with. Thankful for that! I'm on a waiting list for a rehabilitation center that is specialized in deafness and hearing loss etc etc When I have the time, will take a look at the video. Thank you ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป
