Faffing does nothing, being proactive does
So having sat on the idea of setting up a fb community for the past few days and thinking ‘yup I could do it but what do I write?’ I’ve just bitten the bullet and hit publish. No idea if it’s what I needed to write but I’ve done it anyway… I’ve shared it to my local group and will continue posting and sharing everywhere… next step writing a survey… Here goes…
Action removes doubt
Just wanted to share a small win from taking action. A few days ago this was just an idea. Since then I’ve: - Started a local Facebook community. - Created a short survey to listen to parents and my local community. - Shared it in local Facebook groups. - Started getting responses and conversations. - Even had a local politician reach out and ask to meet to discuss how we can support young people in our community. Nothing is “built” yet, but it’s a great reminder that action creates opportunities that planning alone never will. Thanks David for the push. Looking forward to seeing where this journey leads. 🙏

This is great @Joel Thulin You are on it! 👏
Foundations of Breathing
I've been really focusing on nasal breathing for the past couple of weeks. What I've loved most is feeling fully present and connected to my body as I feel my breath moving through it. Whether I'm out for a walk with my baby and toddler, working at my desk, or actually working out, I feel much more in tune with my senses and my body's movements, which brings me to the present moment. Essentially as I've become more aware of my breathing, I've also been able to focus more intently on what I'm doing and the people I'm with.

I’m with you here, I’ve also been focusing on breathing through my nose and have introduced it with clients too. A total game changer 👏
Playing to Win: From Amateur to Pro
Did you know... The correlation between teen anxiety and depression and the start of the school year is well documented. When the school year starts in August the increase begins in August... When it starts in September the increase begins in September... And every single year since we've started Physiology First the action plan to support youth mental health from the wellness and academic community is absolutely nothing throughout the entire summer. Kids suffer the consequences of this unpreparedness every the Fall.... At Physiology First we prepare, plan ahead, and play to win for kids and communities. It's time to get organized, strategically aligned, and active in building a roadmap to sustainable health businesses, strategic school partnerships, and stronger communities. We created the Physiology First Fellowship to offer more resources, brass tacks implementation, and boots on the ground resources to our most passionate members. For example... I was just speaking with a long time collaborator who is interested in joining the Physiology First Fellowship His goal is to bring the program into schools in the Connecticut area. Our team did some research and pulled together this graph on AI resilience in the Connecticut private school system - a market that can afford to provide services from Physiology First. Understanding where the money is matters as you work to build a sustainable business that is well leveraged to support broader community health. Which schools are most likely to be impacted by changes in the economy of the next 12 to 18 months? How will these shifts impact school enrollment? These are the kind of questions that we need to be prepared for as we show a generation of kids and families that Physiology First is an organization that prepares for the future with optimism, resilience, capacity, and vision. We will be working with him to target school partnerships with the highest likelihood of long-term success while developing community programs to benefit students and families throughout the entire state.

This is impressive stuff @David Bidler Am loving the work on AI as well, using it to our advantage to plan where to focus our attention - what schools etc - is great. And you’re so right, kids and teens’ anxiety is lower in the school hols than at any other time which is why planning to get in early with schools is such a boost to their mental health (hate those words) and wellbeing.

Team, Meet Joel Thulin. He just joined The Physiology First Fellowship - our advanced implementation program beginning on June 21st. The Physiology First Fellowship is an opportunity to get: • Even more resources from myself and the team • Proprietary revenue shares on professional development offerings • Daily "done for you" business deliverables and strategic guidance that you can use to monetize your skills and amplify your impact this September. It's an ultra-dedicated crew ready to drop the hammer on the industry🔥🔨 It's not a ton "more time" on your end. It's ultra-efficient execution strategies on ours. More templates, scripts, outreach support, and "done for you" resources - think of a small army supporting your business from a logistics, strategy, and execution perspective. With the right people in the room we can move mountains this year👊🏽 Just shoot me a message if you're interested in joining Joel and a small team of entrepreneurial minded members in bringing Physiology First to schools, companies, and gyms in your community with an extra layer of professional implementation support. Honored to have Joel joining us on the platform soon and looking forward to bringing Physiology First to Sweden this year 🇸🇪🧠🔥 Meet Joel Thulin: Joel Thulin is an ice hockey player in Sweden and founder of Framtidens Unga, an initiative dedicated to helping young people build self-understanding, confidence, and life skills that support them in school, sports, and everyday life.
