@Cate Stillman One of my club members is a death doula, and one of my close friends is as well. Itʻs beautiful work. End of life is a potent rite of passage that gets overshadowed by fear. Iʻm glad youʻre having this conversation! The live call may be a wee bit early for me, but Iʻll catch the recording if I canʻt make it.
Liver Cleanse - Using Magnesium citrate/Calm in place of Epsom Salt
I personally cannot do the epsom salt, it raises my blood pressure. So I am doing the Magnesium this time. In The Amazing Liver and Gallbladder Flush by Andres Moritz. pg 310--11. This info is under "Intolerance to Epsom Salt" Test for allergy before taking. 1/4 teaspoon in a cup of water on an empty stomach, if no reaction you can use it. Generally if you are not allergic to citrus, most people are not allergic to it. Add 4 Tablespoons of magnesium citrate (CALM) to a total of 24 oz (three 8 oz glasses or 710 ml) of filtered water in a jar. Divide into 4 - 6 oz bottles. Drink 6 oz at each of the four specified times, followed by a glass of water. He doesn't recommend capsule form, but if you have capsule form, you can open it up and let it reconstitute in the water. That is mainly because he feels it may not fully dissolve in capsule form in our body., This is not as effective as epsom salt, but it will relax the bile ducts and give the laxative effect. @Elsa Arend Please tag anyone else you know needs this as an option for their liver cleanse preparation.

@Brenda Green please update us on how the Calm went for you. Sounds like this is your first time trying it as an alternative to the epsom salt?
amen

@Cate Stillman utter insanity!
Cocao paste recipe?
@Cate Stillman can you post the ingredients for the Cocao paste we had in Alta? I know it wasn't exact. ground mushrooms, cocao powder, lime juice, maple syrup... that is the part I remember. I may be missing a few. I will make mine later this week for microdosing (advanced detoxing).

@Brenda Green the most common things I notice are nervous system related healing. Able to handle stress better, healing insomnia, less irritable, general feelings of peace (as you mentioned too!). Whatʻs interesting is that sometimes things can get worse before they get better- things come to the surface before they leave the body. Not for everyone, but some people who start off feeling irritable (for example) can feel MORE irritable a couple weeks in. Then it lifts & leaves the body. Very cool!

@Brenda Green Sounds like itʻs right on cue for you then! Glad you were able to have the awareness of what was happening & not engage in the feelings. This happens like clockwork for my boyfriend when he starts a 3 month protocol. Now he just waits for "it", he knows itʻs coming. Then heʻs able to be more of an observer when irritability comes to the surface. Heʻs primarily vata in his natural constitution, so more sensitive to the subtle changes. Iʻm pitta (more of a bull lol) so I just plow right through & donʻt notice the subtleties as much as much. Would you say youʻre more vata?

Hey I have just switched my browser over to use "Brave" (I was using Duck Duck Go), it is way more secure and doesn't track you. Just thought I'd let everyone know if you are one of those people that doesn't like to be "tracked". :) For reference, my son is a software engineer and he is why we are using it now.
