Tiny Step🪴 Feb 6, 2026
Hello Friends, It's time for our Tiny Step for the week. For those who are new, each week we practice something small on purpose. Not another goal to achieve, not something to perfect, just one Tiny Step that helps you come back to yourself. This week’s Tiny Step is simple, but surprisingly powerful. Pause for a moment and write one honest sentence answering this question: What do I need right now? Not what you should need, or what everyone else needs from you. Just you. Maybe it’s rest, quiet, a glass of water. Maybe it’s to say no or to begin something.... keep it to one sentence. Sometimes clarity doesn’t come from thinking more, it comes from listening. When I did this exercise today, what came to me was connection with my children ❤️ I called my oldest daughter just to hear how her day was going. Nothing big. Just a simple check-in. It was such a small action, but it made me feel better. If you feel comfortable, you’re welcome to share your sentence below. And if not, just hold it quietly for yourself.
Life
It’s been 11 years since my boys asked me to go “look” at the dogs at the shelter. On Friday the 13 of March, we brought Harper home. She’s been a blessing. ( most of the time. 😂😉😘) ….. wouldn’t have had it any other way. We took her in for an appointment at the vet a couple weeks ago as we felt she wasn’t feeling very well. Today she had a procedure and we found out she has colorectal cancer – the size of an orange. Only thing to do now is love her and keep her comfortable. She probably has around six more months to live. I never thought knowing we would only have limited time with her would be so hard. 😢 Anyone else go through this, and have wisdom to share. 💕❤️💕❤️

My heart goes out to you, Jennifer. I'm sure this is a difficult time. When our children were young, we lost our longtime family cat Mynx to throat cancer. It was very difficult 😞. Time goes by so fast, I whish we could have them forever. You gave her a loving home and memories that will last a lifetime. Wishing you peace through this time. ❤️
Growth in Action Feb. 3, 2026
Whenever I tune into my inner child, I always have so much fun. It's as if "little Connie" says, "Yes! Let's play, run, dig in the dirt, hike a mountain, and have FUN." I feel lighter, at ease, and contented. Taking a daily walk is nothing exciting or new. But yesterday, I did something I haven't done since I was a little girl in Utah. I packed a lunch and went on an adventure, all by myself. No agenda, no All Trails, no time limits. I explored the mountains around our tiny village and found the PERFECT picnic spot. Sun, river, mountains...it's a little slice of heaven.

Live Coaching Call Yesterday
Hello friends, Yesterday’s coaching call was so grounding and meaningful. Thank you to everyone who shared so openly, the honesty in our conversation created so much collective insight. The topic was all about reconnecting with yourself, especially during times when you feel scattered, overwhelmed, or unsure who you are anymore. We explored what happens when life gets overbearing, responsibilities pile up, and we slowly drift away from our own center. @Patricia Werner Patty, shared a powerful moment of growth, setting a long-overdue boundary with someone who had been emotionally draining her for years. What landed so deeply was how much lighter she felt afterward, and how honoring herself created peace rather than conflict. That sparked a meaningful discussion around caregiving, guilt, and self-respect. The recording and written highlights will be added to the archive for anyone who couldn’t make it live or wants to revisit the reflections and prompts. ✨For those who are interested in attending our live coaching calls/Growth in Action practice 🌳 and coffee chats, they are included in our premium membership https://www.skool.com/mindfulsimplicity/plans
