#2/52 Weekly videos done...
I struggled this week, trying to get this video done. I had already had a script written. And then I had a host of new ideas vying for my attention. Then, when I was ready to record and did a practice run, I found that what I was saying was slightly unclear and a tad bit outdated. I don't know if anyone else experiences this, but ChatGPT called it EPISTEMIC DRIFT where your understanding of a topic evolves so quickly that your original work feels outdated before you can even publish it. And this wouldn't be such a problem except, one my defining goals with becoming a YT creator is impact. And I don't just mean helping people but also doing no harm. There's already a lot of vulnerability in self-improvement so I feel like the standard of care should be higher. But obviously, there is no guarantee of zero risk as I can never fully predict every possible interpretation of my words. So, I did realize that if I wait for my thinking to stop evolving, I will never post again, lol, because understanding is always in motion. My solution was moving towards a new operating principle: treating my videos as time-bound snapshots rather than final conclusions. And maybe you guys have already come to this conclusion or you don't struggle with this at all, but this and having a YT journey partner who has also committed to a weekly video for 2026, helped me get over myself, long enough to post in the last hours of the end of the week. If you are interested in my take on why people's 2026 goals will fail, you can watch the video here
