Eating "clean", and stuck on progress?
Controversial content - clean eating my be holding you back 👀 If your goal is steictly performance or to have a solid training session even in a deficit, you may need to let go of control. Carbs and ultra processed foods (UPF) get a bad rap. I'm not saying to live on UPF exclusively. Context matters. Save the "clean" eating and low cal foods for meals. Throw some simple carbs into your pre-workout nutrition plan and reap the benefits of training with some fuel in you. You don't have to go the sugary candy route. Toast with honey or jam works just as well. White bread, because it digests faster. And for training fuel, that's the point. A better training session creates better results over time. You'll likely have a better session being fed and fueled versus fasted and drained. Go eat, go lift, go get your goals. If you have questions, I'm all ears

1) found out this week I was selected for the USSOCOM Warrior Games Team. I’m going to compete in the 1 and 4 minute rowing event, swim the 50 and 100 free and 50 back, throwing the discus and shot in the field event and I’m an alternate for the shooting events. In May I head back to Tampa for the team sports camp and I’ll find out if I’m going to represent SOCOM in wheelchair rugby and basketball or sitting volleyball. I’ve got about 100 days till the games in Colorado, so I’ve got to really start dialing things in.

I own a Whoop, but my subscription is inactive. I let it lapse because it wasn’t really wasn’t telling me anything more than reinforcing how I was feeling. But I’ve been thinking about starting to use it again.
