Sit here and the answer will arrive
Sit. The river does not push the water. It only makes a path and lets the water find it. You do not have to carry this day. Set it down. Let it move through you the way light moves through an open window, asking nothing, staying only as long as it stays. Tonight at 7pm cst we’ll be gathering for meditation and connection. We’d absolutely love to see you there. Join us tonight on Zoom: https://us06web.zoom.us/j/5489790088 See you at 7. With warmth, Brandon

You Are a Child of The Universe
Dharma talk 003 with Brandon Mehrgut In this short talk, I share a childhood poem I grew up with, famously known as: Desiderata A line that always came back to me time and time again, "And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be." I hope this is helpful to some of you.

Tea, routine and meditation
For a couple of weeks, I’ve been drinking tea before meditation. A monk recommended it. He said unlike coffee, tea not only makes us awake, but also has Theanine which calms us down; coffee is for work and tea is for meditation. And practically, there does seem to be a big difference between coffee and tea. And it’s been doing wonders for my practice. The routine also helps. Making tea is a morning ritual. And my brain expects to meditate immediately afterwards. I have a specific spot in my apartment (created by moving my couch to make a little nook), some incense, my meditation cushion and specific clothes All this puts the mind in the mood Now, of course, we meditate to transform how we act in life, not just to keep it on the cushion. So it was recommended that after meditation, I stay in the mood for a little while. Read a book. Stay quiet while doing work etc. It’s been working for me

this is beautiful! looked like making tea carries on your practice after meditation. Let us know how's it goes
Food for thought
Change starts by taking ownership. No more excuses or waiting for others to act. You have the power to transform your life, and it begins with you. Taking responsibility means you stop being a victim of your circumstances.
