Goals
I have a daily goal of writing a 1k words a day. I usually just mentally track it and congratulate or reflect each night I finish writing. This month I printed out a calendar to physically keep track and have it right on my desk as a visual reminder. I love being in competition with myself! Only 22/30 days complete and I’ve written 28,081 words. Those are split between 2 wips but I’m making great progress and I’m excited to see what this last full week will bring! Anyone else keep track of their progress and find it helpful in your process?

Hey that’s awesome! I only ever really kept track when nanowrimo was a thing. I found it very useful to have that daily goal. It’s been quite a while since I’ve written anything besides revisions though. Haha. But once I get book 5 out (so close!) I’ll be getting back into writing and may adopt this type of goal. Like I said. I did find it very useful and motivating!

What do people want to see on this platform??
Hi everyone, I was hoping this group would naturally grow through all of you, but I realize it might need a little extra care. I’ve been a bit quiet lately due to some personal things and simply not having the time or energy I’d like to devote but I’m still here, ready to contribute and keep things running. This space is for you as much as it is for me, and I’d love to see it come alive. What would help you participate more? Do you need specific discussion prompts, events, critique sessions, or something else entirely? I’m happy to share resources, start conversations, and help organize whatever would make this community valuable. Let me know what would inspire you to jump in!

I’m not sure. I’ve tried several times to start conversations and I thought there would be a ton of activity with so many people but it just hasn’t sparked yet. I’m sure it will in time. People just need to remember to come on here to engage and ask questions and such. Haha. I know I stayed away for a bit cause there was just nothing going on but I will try and do better to start some convos!

Any news updates, successes, vents, e.tc??? I have a slightly different concept im might try work8ng on for my books just not sure yet exactly how ill make it work but the Gears in my brain are spinning right now. I so wish I had more time

Doing good! I gave my beta readers a month to read through my novel and nearly all of them finished within a two week period so I start making some edits according to their comments. Haha. I have the cover finished and I think a good book blurb? 🤷🏽 haha. So things are rolling along really well! Haha. That’s awesome when the creative juices start flowing and it takes you down avenues you never considered before! Best of luck with the spinning gears! Haha

@Kirsten Mathews haha. I will do that! Though not sure how many are going to read it… trying to gain traction with the series but a lot of people have commented on a post I made that they usually won’t start a series unless it’s completed… and after this one there’s still 2 to go. 😭 so will still be a long while before people will want to read the complete series… haha

@Kirsten Mathews oh no. I know that. Haha. But from the post I made and going by the responses it sounds like people prefer to wait until it’s all out. Haha. That’s all I’m saying. I’m going to just keep pushing them out either way. Only a few more books and the series will be complete. Haha
