As well as editing my current WIPs, I’ve been working on an Etsy shop to bring in some extra income. My most recent listings were inspired by the books I’ve written, and one idea has really captured my imagination. One of my stories is on the shorter side, and I thought—what if I turned it into a junk journal instead of publishing it in the usual way? I’ve already rewritten the first three chapters as journal-style entries and started designing the accompanying pages in Canva. I’m not sure how to describe it perfectly yet, but essentially I’m creating my first few junk journals that actually tell a story. I haven’t seen anyone else doing this, so I don’t know if it will even work—but it feels exciting and worth a try!
