Scrappy Bird
If this isn't allowed let me know and I'll delete it. Another way I used some of my tiny scraps. Crunched up brown packing paper from Amazon shipping into a rough bird shape. Wrapped shape in masking tape to hold it together, glued on small fabric scraps. Cut out cardboard feather shapes, glued on fabric scrapes, glued them to bird body when dry. Made wire feet poked them into bird body after dipping them in glue. Ta Da a scrappy bird.

What to do? What to do? Have you ever needed a special gift or giveaway and didn't have a clue what to make? Sometime back I had that situation come up. I was having a group over for a junk journaling get together. And I wanted to have a little something for each of my guests to take home with them to remember our time together. So I created these project books. They are 6" x 9" with a 1.5" spine. Nothing fancy about the book--it just holds the supplies. I added several papers, ephemeral, laces, and bags of other trims and bits and bobs. It wasn't an expensive or elaborate gift, but you would have thought so by the reaction of the receivers. They loved them. This idea can be adapted for slow stitching, art journaling, embroidery, sewing, etc.

I love this idea. It’s so creative and intimate. 🥹🎀 I love things with personal touches. To me it holds more value and meaning. 😊

The Graphic Design Giveaways are Not Just For Paper Crafts!
How I print them on fabric I want to remind you that any of these graphics can be printed on fabric and used in your projects. I print designs and then fussy cut the items I want to use just as I would in any other fabric. So all these graphics are treasures for both paper and fabric crafters. This is my method for printing on fabric: - I use white or cream muslin (ironed with no wrinkles left) - I use a sheet of full-sheet label paper - I peel the label paper from its backing and place it (sticky side down) on my fabric - I carefully cut my fabric even with the sides of the paper - I ensure that the paper is firmly attached to the fabric, paying special attention to the corners and edges. - Then I run it through my inkjet printer - Peel off the label paper - Let the ink completely dry--then press the backside of the fabric with an iron. This helps to set the ink.

Oh this sounds interesting and fun. I never created my own fabric design. I’ll definitely have to give this a shot. 😊
A New Year, Shared
As we step into a brand-new year, I find myself grateful— not in a loud, confetti way, but in the soft, steady way that comes from knowing I’m not creating alone. You— with your scraps and stitches, your paper piles and half-finished dreams, your brave beginnings and tender tries— you are the gift I didn’t know I was building toward. I promise to keep this space warm. A place that feels like home, where the door is always open, and nothing has to be perfect to belong. I promise to tend it gently— to make room for rest, for encouragement, for sharing what we have instead of measuring what we lack. Here, generosity matters, so does patience, so does laughter when things don’t go as planned. May this be a refuge from the noise and the rush, a place to lay down the weight of everyday living and pick up thread, paper, color, and hope. As we enter this new year together, may we create freely, cheer each other on generously, and remember—again and again— that making side by side is one of the coziest things we can do. I’m so thankful you’re here. Let’s build something beautiful—together.
