πŸ““ GRACE Journaling | Weekly Reflection Prompt
With the help of ChatGPT, I came up with this simple framework for reflection: G β†’ Grateful β€” What are you thankful for today? R β†’ Recognize β€” A win you’re proud of A β†’ Acquired β€” A lesson you learned C β†’ Commit β€” Your next step or focus E β†’ Envision β€” A hope, goal, or vision for the future πŸ‘‰ You can use this daily, at the end of the week, or whenever you need to slow down and reset. It keeps reflection short, structured, and meaningful, but it has depth if you want to go deeper. Give yourself some GRACE at the end of the day or week. That is how you build awareness, consistency, and quiet strength. 🦁 Thoughts?

Expanding on this. I've been journaling post class. It helps to write things down. Its not for the purpose of reviewing at a later date, but rather the process of extracting key points into words that helps cement the lessons from class
Chris has achieved Warrior 🟒πŸ”₯
7 straight days. 700 reps locked in. The Relic of Momentum is secured. As the creator of this challenge, @Chris Dickens didn’t just set the standard he lived it. Discipline. Consistency. No excuses. This is what leadership looks like not asking others to do anything he wouldn’t do himself. Congratulations, Chris is one of the first to carry the Warrior Relic and prove what Project Lionheart is all about.

πŸ† Hall of Firsts Announcement
History has been made inside Project Lionheart. Today we crown @Kyle Blay as the very first to complete the Warrior 700 Rep Challenge. By finishing 700 reps in 7 days, he secured the Relic of Momentum and became the one who set the pace for all future Warriors. For this achievement, Kyle earns his place in the Hall of Firsts with the exclusive one-of-one title: Vanguard of Momentum 🟒 The word Vanguard means the one who goes ahead of the rest, the one who takes the lead into battle, the one who clears the path so others can follow. This title can never be claimed again. It is his alone, forever. Kyle, you are the trailblazer, the front runner, the first into battle. The path to Warrior has been carved because you chose to rise. 🦁πŸ”₯ Welcome to the Hall of Firsts.

πŸ‘‹ Welcome Thread β€” Introduce Yourself Here
This is where we get to know who is here and what we are building together. Project Lionheart was born out of Jiu-Jitsu training, so you will see it mentioned often. Martial arts experience is never required. Everyone is welcome. One thing we all share: movement is daily medicine. Every Lionheart commits to moving their body with intention each day, no matter their background. Introduce Yourself Post a short intro so we can see who we are growing with. Keep it simple. Ideas (copy and paste): πŸ”Ή Name πŸ”Ή Belt level, training background, or any fitness experience (optional) πŸ”Ή Favorite submission or technique πŸ”Ή What brought you to Lionheart πŸ”Ή A photo of you on the mat (optional) This is a judgment-free zone. Keep it real. Keep it simple. Connect.

@Joel Moses Plough I agree that both are valuable. You are fortunate for sure! Thats awesome! Columbus seems to be relevant in many sports. Westside barbell comes to mind. The Arnold. And of course, the Buckeyes are looking like world-beaters again this year
Building My Gracie Garage πŸ₯‹ | Share Your Home Gym Setups
Having my own martial arts school has always been a dream. 🦁 Of course, a garage is not an academy but it's one of the first steps toward making that dream a reality. The goal is to create a small, safe training space where I can: βœ… Drill fundamentals βœ… Get more reps βœ… Train with trusted friends Right now, I’m deep in the setup phase: - Choosing between 1.25”, 1.5”, or 1.875” mats - Deciding whether to add a subfloor for safety on concrete - Balancing budget, durability, and long-term growth I’ve been reading reviews, watching setup videos, and talking with other garage owners to avoid expensive mistakes. This isn’t about building the perfect gym on day one. It's about starting small, starting safe, and starting now. Once it’s ready, I’ll share photos, costs, and lessons learned for anyone thinking about doing the same. Shoutout to Kyle πŸ”Ž @Kyle Blay , you posted your setup in the check-in thread and it looks solid! πŸ’ͺ What mats are you using? How thick are they? Do you feel like they are safe for takedowns on concrete? I am trying to decide between 1.25” vs. 1.5" vs. 1.875” mats, so any recommendations would really help. I'm mostly concerned about double legs and rear takedowns and such. Thanks in advance! πŸ₯‹ Your Turn Do you have a home gym or training space? - What mats are you using? - Do you train takedowns at home? - Any setup tips or lessons learned? Drop your setups, pics, and recommendations below so we can build something everyone can learn from. πŸ₯‹πŸ

I never thought about having a home training space, but this thread has me thinking. πŸ€” I tell you what. There are a couple of jerks in the neighborhood that I wouldn't mind coming over for a one-time roll 😈. πŸ˜†
