Chore Jacket & Office Vibes
Yesterday, I sported this outfit for my weekly office hustle. Since I received a very positive feedback on RMRS on my casual date night dress with my new chore coat, I decided to dress up for the office by swapping the Tee in this outfit (https://www.skool.com/rmrs/the-dressier-chore-coat?p=3d485016) with a royal blue shirt (with very small prints). I also brought in my chocolate brown derbies for the moccasins and wore tan crew socks to complete the look. THE TOP: Button up shirt with small prints (dots) in royal blue (100% cotton and wrinkle resistant). THE LAYER: Sand chore coat in cotton twill (9 Oz) THE BOTTOM: Beige MTM chinos with high waist. THE WATCH: Brown strap, gold-on-silver dial frame. THE FOOTWEAR: Brown derbies. THE BELT: Tan (reversible with black leather). THE SOCKS: Crew in beige. THE PERFUME: Solid cologne. There is small detail worth noting. After pulling my jacket sleeves up to my elbows, I folded my shirt sleeves and then folded the sleeves of the jacket to get a double fold look with about half-an-inch peep of the shirt fabric underneath the jacket folded sleeves. This took some time to achieve; nevertheless, I am not complaining 🙂! I got a couple of complements ("great jacket" and "looking superb" 🙂) from my colleagues. Of course, your feedback is most welcome! Cheers.

Amazing chore coat (as well as combo) - that's a great idea!
Color harmonizing
I have spoken multiple times about the three basic conservative shirt colors: Blue, White, Pink. These three colors are virtually interchangeable with various outfits and have been the three essential staple classic colors for nearly 100 years. Nevertheless- each harmonizes differently with their overall outfit. For example- while white is a very basic color it can be a bit stark in certain situations where a blue or pink are less so. Conversely nothing brings out the crispness and formality of a deep navy or deep charcoal suit like a white shirt. Today I want to break out the most recent MTM suit I had made January 2014. Unfortunately I had gained a lot of weight by then so I am not sure it is salvageable with my tailor. We shall see later this fall. The other thing about the suit that bothers me is that in 2014 I let the clothier talk me into a single reverse pleat (he was pushing me toward a plain front which I would have never done in a MTM). I wished that I held my ground but life is a learning process isn’t it. Irrespective, I do like the fabric. It’s an extremely light weight woolen blend in a deep charcoal brown with a ghosted Glen plaid with operable sleeve buttons. I added a French cuff pink twill CT shirt and a teal and black woven houndstooth silk Robert Talbot tie with burgundy and beige amoeba woven patterns. I chose my shamrock cufflinks and flyfishing fly braces and reversible pocket square coordinating the beige in the tie, along with my Panterella OTC socks and AE shell cordovan brogues and my Caravelle/Bulova watch.

Saying goodbye to a friend
A client friend’s funeral was today. Lou the First Lady was married to my favorite mayor and was a very close friend of my stepmother. Pretty much the whole community came out to honor her today as I was seated between our state Senator and stepmom. The band had written a song or two for her departed husband our major and Lou and I had become pretty close. My wardrobe choices are pretty limited and since I’ve shrunk too much to wear my black suit O went with a medium grey one. Since God has decided that at least the back of my hairline e needs to become a monk I am choosing to wear hats more and more on these cold days: • MTM medium grey ghosted plaid suit made in October 1995 •White broadcloth’s shirt •Green and silver rep tie • silver with black polka dot pocket square •black Scalia fedora • grey Byford OTC merino wool socks •J Fitzpatrick black captoe shoes • Seiko Model 5 automatic

My condolences 🙏
Don’t give up!
So the first picture is of me just over a year ago. I was 308 lbs, and the second is about a month ago. I was down to 210. The last picture is from yesterday! Down to 192. If you have weight loss goals in mind then just stick to it! Watching your calories works wonders. There will be times when you are discouraged and just want to give up. DONT! Keep fighting for a better more confident you!
