👋 Hi, I’m Blanca !
Hi my name is Blanca. I live in Gilbert Arizona and I’m looking for community from the community I know it's blah but I already have role that I enjoy and looking for support and to give back to those that are just starting out in this journey. I want to get these 3 things from the community: - be able to troubleshoot - networking opportunities - emotional support/I have felt out of place as an introverted SDR but working through it Something random about me: I have a bit of a green thumb I have a collection of about 20 house plants

"How to Level Up Your Sales Skills (and Why It’s Like Riding a Bike)"
When I was a kid, learning to ride a bike felt impossible. I wobbled, fell, and scraped my knees. But I kept at it because I saw the big kids zooming around. Sales is the same—you wobble at first, but with practice, you get smoother. 1. Start Small, Like Training Wheels – My first cold call was terrible, but I kept practicing with a simple script until I nailed it. Start with basics like 10 calls a day and build from there. 2. Watch the Pros – I learned humor from a top SDR's call and started using it. Listen to successful salespeople or watch their videos. What’s one thing they do that you can try this week? 3. Practice in Front of a Mirror – Before a big interview, I practiced in the mirror and noticed my confidence improved. Record yourself or role-play with a friend to rehearse and get better. 4. Get Comfortable with "No" – After 15 rejections, I booked a meeting on call #16. Don’t take rejection personally—it’s a step closer to a “yes.” 5. Keep Learning – A friend who was already a top SDR started reading one sales book a month. His curiosity helped him uncover pain points and close more deals. Never stop learning—watch videos, read books, and join coffee chats. 6. Celebrate Wins – The first time I booked a meeting, I did a little happy dance. Celebrate every win—it builds momentum and excitement. So, where are you in your "bike-riding" journey? Wobbly? Getting the hang of it? Ready to zoom? Let me know: What’s one skill you’re focusing on this week, or what’s the best sales tip you’ve learned? Remember, every SDR was a beginner once. Keep practicing and soon you’ll be cruising! What’s your sales superpower?

My super power is genuine empathy and using the "pause"... I work for a refinance company my sale is a need not a want sale . So a lot of our leads are coming to us in extreme distress, they have to jump into our program for safety. Anyway using the script of course but more importantly listening and being able to pivot and show your human side even when you are trying to make the sale. When riding a bike there comes a time when you start to have fun this is how I envision this trick compares. when you pedal fast enough and there is a few minutes of cruising where momentum keeps you moving forward without you having to do anything, this is how I see using the pause after you ask a question ... literally count with your fingers if you need to to allow yourself to not fill in for them. It's a game changer. Script- talk- listen- script then ask the question and pause. Look mom no hands!!!
How to Crush a SDR Job Interview
đŸ”„ One of the BIGGEST challenges I faced while trying to break into an SDR role and eventually become an AE was my mindset around interviews and career growth. 💡 What completely changed my perspective was when a hiring manager told me this: "We want killers. Not someone who just shows up and does the job, but someone who goes ABOVE and BEYOND." đŸ’„ That hit me hard. And now? That’s ME. And honestly, that’s probably ALL of you in this community. 🙌 You're hardworking, dedicated, and always ready to crush it to maximize that paycheck! 💰 But here’s the issue
you’re not selling yourself in interviews. 🎯 You know you're a quota crusher because you’re motivated to be the best. But guess what? Recruiters and hiring managers don’t know that yet. đŸ”„ That’s when I had a realization
I needed to do a humble brag. Yep, you heard me—brag about yourself! Why? Because they don’t know you’re a go-getter unless you prove it in the interview. So, next time you’re in an interview, make sure you drive home this point: YOU are someone who doesn’t just meet expectations—you EXCEED them. 🚀 💬 Tell them exactly who you are, because if you don't, someone else will. And trust me, they’ll proudly share their wins and successes, and that’s how you'll get passed over. Own it. đŸ’Ș

This has always been one of my downfalls being too humble. So sometimes I ask Chat GPT to do it for me Prompt - Compose a response to why you should be hired for an SDR role for ___ company provide their pain points and industry - In a friendly yet professional tone then I tweak the response. Also interview prep really does wonders as you get your jitters out of the way in a safe environment
