Great task. Thank you for that. So nearest by (and still active user) would be fellow synthesizer @Koen Cramer. if that could be a sign? 😊
Time or weight?
I use a pretty old vibimme domobar, think it must have 12+ years now. This one isn't the most precise espresso machine when it's coming to pressure and temperature. So it's quite challenging to get the same perfect espresso out of it using the exact same setup twice. 😅 So, what I asked myself over and over again is what's more important: time or weight? Well, I've learned in this post, that many baristas agree on the perfect time being about 28 sec aaaand most prefer the 1:2-ratio with 18grams in and 36 out. But, with a machine that's not toooo precise you may choose one of them. most of the time I'll end up at about 30-36 grams in between 25 and 30 secs. But sure taste varies as well. 🤷🏻‍♂️ What do you guys think is more important:

I went a little crazy today, @Luke Gilbert. Made the grinder grind finer and tried 42 secs extraction. Turns out that it is AWESOME 🤩 No bitterness but full chocolate flavor. Great piece of art. 💛 Wanted to extend to a 1:2,5 ratio, but it "wanted" to extract that slowly that it finished with an almost perfect 1:2. Will try to replicate later today with focus on 42 secs extraction. Let's see what we get then. 🔥

Sounds like a sweet tasty accident, @Luke Gilbert. 🔥
Which Espresso based drink is your favourite?
OK so you'll notice that these are all from a more Australian menu list. I will share the PDF in the first comment below, that gives the detailed coffee Ratios & Recipes created by Artisi Coffee Roasters. Pick your favourite and tell us why 👇

Put an espresso into the chocolate et voila - it should be on the list as well, @Luke Gilbert. 😄

I don't have a glass for coffee, so picture wouldn't help, @Luke Gilbert. 😅 I do that from time to time, but mostly like my double espresso. When done good most espresso is perfectly chocolaty. 💛
Have you ever done this?…
If you have you know just how hard it is, and you’ll enjoy your coffee so much more… let me know what you think 💭

Love this comment. And I really like the effort trying it all himself. I prefer buying roasted beans in high quality. Finding the perfect clicks for grinding is already enough work. 😄
How do you clean your group head?
I’ve made it a point of asking baristas (home and pro) how they clean their espresso machine group heads and I’ve been pretty surprised 😳 A grimy group head can be one of those things that can ruin your coffee taste! How do you keep your group head clean?

That one looks quite genius. Didn't think of something like that before. But now really do. I normally do it with the brush everyday. And take off the brew head filter once a week to clean that and the group head itself.
