Cambridgeshire Chamber of Commerce Dinner last night!
@Mike Greene brought huge energy to the room at the dinner last night with the fireside chat with Kevin Byrne, founder of Checkertrade and it was a lovely evening with Growth Syndicate members @Betsy Wong and @Kate Ashley-Norman The takeaways I gained were inspiring, snapshot were: 1. You don’t always need an investor that once scaled lose enormous equity, and can lead to “discussions’. 2. You can love your passions (oh there’s another carp!) those in the room will know. 3. You can have faith and carry it with you. 4. Helping community can affect positively and be very humbling to help others. 5. You can have the energy and passion to go again (Kevs trades) Thanks to all for a great evening, with no call this morning headed outside and in reading Mike’s book, relearnt the transition maps, it is not about the start, it is about where you end up which was really powerful 👊

Thank you @Mike Greene @Scott Dwyer for encouraging me to go to the networking event. The event itself was fantastic - it gave me such a buzz for the whole weekend!! The follow up LinkedIn post has definitely raised the profile of my business, which I didn’t expect. I will not be able to join the call on Wednesday as travelling with parents for holiday. Will try to jump on on Saturday morning instead.
Without Leads, You Don’t Have Sales
And Without Sales, You Don’t Have a Business LESSON JUST ADDED: It always surprises me that people say they want mentoring, say they want advice, say they want to grow their business… But only a handful actually turn up to the Skool free mentoring sessions on The Growth Syndicate The funny thing is, those same handful are the ones who are growing, improving, and seeing real gains. Why? - Because they show up. - They listen. - They apply. This new lesson came directly from a live mentoring session on Saturday 7 March. We ended up unpacking one of the most important truths in business. If your pipeline is empty… your business will eventually be too. Inside the lesson we cover: • Why most “quiet months” are self inflicted • The biggest mistake entrepreneurs make when they get busy • Why funnels empty faster than you think • The new way customers actually discover businesses today • Why visibility now matters more than search • How slow responses kill leads • Why networking only works if you work it • The system that keeps enquiries flowing Most entrepreneurs try to fix sales. But the real problem is usually much earlier in the chain. Leads. If you’re serious about growing your business, this lesson is worth 10 minutes of your time. Go and watch it now... and read the worksheet Then ask yourself one question: Is your funnel actually full… Or are you just hoping the phone rings? Want to say thank you @Mike Greene , after watching one of your many podcasts as you interview Alison Shadrack Founder and CEO at Adia PR. It gave me lots of PR ideas that could super charge my business presence. Grabbed one of the ideas and approached my County local newspaper Mid Sussex Times hoping to get a mention in their weekly paper. Boom got interviewed by their journalist the next day , a day later my got a link for the story on all their socials. This was brilliant right ! What I didn’t realise that he had gone and given me the whole entire page in their bulletin . All for free… The magic of Growth Syndicate…🚀🚀

Not All Salespeople Can Sell
Every week, I publish a blog or article that I believe can genuinely help business owners, leaders, and sales teams think differently. This week’s is about sales. And it starts with a statement that sounds wrong, but usually isn’t. Not all salespeople can sell. Many can build relationships. Many are likeable. Many can talk brilliantly about products and services. But when it comes to asking for the order, Closing the deal, Collecting the commitment, They hesitate. What I’ve seen again and again is this. Businesses employ people who can promote the hell out of what they do, But cannot bring themselves to close. Not because they are lazy. Not because they are dishonest. But because of behaviour. In this week’s blog I cover: • Why some great relationship builders struggle to close • The difference between order takers and closers • How behavioural profiling explains missed sales • Why “let me get back to you” often means the deal is already lost • How the right mix of behaviours transforms sales performance Understanding behaviour is often the difference between hitting targets or missing them entirely. Whether you sell yourself, employ a salesperson, or lead a sales team, this one is worth your time. https://www.skool.com/thegrowthsyndicate/classroom/e8650cc4?md=2abcb419b3c3421f95ed189a5eb0d6be
