@Ben E donned a second wear this morning. Will be sharing my thoughts at lunchtime once my work morning quiets down. 👍
I am struggling
Hey all, a couple weeks ago, I lost my flame because I had the flu and somehow it did not bother me at all and I wasn't going to focus on trying to get back, like I had done in the past. As I reflect, I was wondering why I didn't care and I think about how I feel about BoS. As of the past few months, I have been struggling to feel the love for BoS like I used to have. I think it was just the result of 1000 paper cuts. From Level 9 reward changing, just before I hit Level 9, members copy and pasting the same response over and over just to game the level system, the constant rotation of new folks, moving to paid membership( nothing wrong I just didn't see value as I had to setup something outside of BoS) etc. I have built many relationships here and that I am very appreciative of that and you guys know who you are. I think with the recent revolving door of new guys, I feel like I don't want to invest time or make any effort to build relationships because odds are they will come and they will go, so why bother? reaching Level 7+ used to be an achievement, but now the system is gamed by copy and pasting same response, posting junk just to get the points. The comradery, outside of the older members, has disappeared. The fun and the jokes and the sharing are gone except for within our own little cliques, which is a result of the revolving door. I understand the constant refresh of fresh members in natural, but it does erode the culture, if they are not willing to try to build the culture. I know many other brothers feel the same. Just wanted to share how I felt

As someone who's only been a member for a hot minute, I hope I can lend a fresh opinion and some new eyes on this. I've been enjoying the interactions with everyone. I'm a member of the RMRS and Watch Lover groups too, and the BoS group is where my main interests lie (although I am for sure enjoying the others and am working on my style and watch collections too). While this post, and others like it, say that the levels don't matter, the earlier levels certainly do... you can't post or send DMs until you hit a threshold. and the Skool app absolutely does teach you that constant interactions are the key to having the best time on this platform. Of course, it's obvious early that the interactions for interaction's sake, while providing advancement, are hardly fulfilling. Personally, I only comment on posts and comments for which I have an opinion or an active consideration. I do Like every post I see once I've read it, but that's largely so I know what's fresh and what I've already read. And I feel that's an unproblematic way to show a level of support. (Of course, I wouldn't like the content if I found it wholly disagreeable.) One thing I should say, because no one has said it yet, that as a newer member there's nothing that'll engender feelings of disengagement than "Old Man Shouts At Cloud" posts. I'm excited by this group, and the other groups I'm in, and it's sad that segments of the Old Guard aren't as pumped as I am... but there's nothing I or we can do, other than comment and post and like and interact, in the hope that our connections are valued and real. I hope that this point is taken in the spirit it's intended. And hey, at least it's not cut-and-pasted, right?! 😄

@Frank Barnett Don’t worry, I do not feel unwelcome. I’m enjoying this group (and the others) a great deal. And it’s patently obvious that no one in this thread and others like it have anything approaching malice in their words. It’s definitely all love. I’ve found the Frag Space to be a little tricky at times for various reasons, and the BoS is definitely a beacon rather than a tyre fire. 😆
SOTD: Versace Dylan Blue
Nose is a bit stuffed up today so not really getting to enjoy my fragrance but I put it on anyways. With that said I wouldn’t waste one of higher end frags if I can’t enjoy it and so I chose an easygoing cheapie. I think at this point unless I’m not allowed to wear one I’ll always have a frag on.

I own a few higher-cost and higher-profile Blues, but I reckon this is my favourite. Others are stronger, others are smoother, but this seems to nail it down every damn time.
Guerlain Cuir Intense
This is my new favorite leather obsession. This is deep, dark leather with a tobacco and Osmanthus pairing. Longevity is amazing and it’s a much more refined profile than Ombré Leather. Fragrancenet has for a great price too. Check it out if you haven’t!
