Now THAT's Branding!!
Scrolling through my notifications this morning and I see this. (Open the attached pic). I did not register the name, the words, nothing. I just saw the traffic light emoji and my brain INSTANTLY went to the Red Light, Green Light activity here in the Directory. THAT's brilliant branding on @Heather Boers' part. If you're in this community because you want more eyeballs on your business, and you're randomly posting to get seen and then getting out, you're missing out on the type of training that people pay tens of thousands for. You can take a branding class and learn the concepts, but you cannot SEE it in action like you can here. Pay attention to what's happening, what people are engaging with, what context YOU carry away with you. It's utterly priceless. You've got a masterclass under your nose!!! You can be brilliant at what you do, but in here you can learn how to run a community, how to give folks an incredible experience, how to surprise and delight your audience, how to create genuine engagement, how to foster meaningful relationships, and so much more. Just by watching and taking notes! As a copywriter, storyteller, and funnel strategist, I can find the gaps and leaks in people's marketing. That's MY superpower and why I started my community. But faaaaack do I still have a lot to learn about community-building and all that user experience stuff. And I learn something new from Heather every damn day. Fun fact: for the longest time I thought this gif of a woman spitting out her drink in laughter was Heather too. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Our brains focus on problems first, solutions second or third. Always lead with a problem. Need proof? You're driving and see 1) an attractive pedestrian ahead and 2) 🚨 a flashing red light in your rearview mirror. Which gets your attention?

@Liisa Reimann As a hard and fast rule, which my use of the word ‘always’ obviously indicated, you’re correct. I think it’s important to keep in mind that the context of our marketing message can be placed either in a solution-based transformation or it can pique curiosity by identifying with their pain. I think we’re actually saying the same thing, but I think I worded it poorly
It's the Existential Question Most New Community Owners Dread...
"Do I Close My Community or Perform Some Sort of Life-Saving CPR?" 🛟 If your Skool community is stuck after 4-6 months, you're not alone. The overwhelming majority of new school owners experience it. They repeatedly tweak pricing, subscription models, and About page copy nearly 25 times before shutting the doors and walking away defeated. I know this is true because: - I BUILT (& CLOSED) 7 COMMUNITIES - I KEPT ASKING: "IS IT ME, OR IS IT THE NICHE?" OK, truth be told, it was me. 🙄 I didn't know what I didn't know, but here's what I learned: - ➡️ TRAFFIC ALONE WON’T GROW A COMMUNITY WITH A FAULTY FRAMEWORK ⬅️ 'THE 30-DAY COMMUNITY PIVOT' is the diagnostic framework I wish I'd had. It asks the questions that matter; those that uncover the fault lines and might've rescued a few of those failed communities. In 30 days: 👉🏼 Together, we'll audit your positioning, pricing, and engagement, so you can make a clean decision based on data to either fix the mistakes, rebrand, or kill it gracefully & pivot to what's next with honor. 👉🏼 August 15th, the four-week self-paced ‘30-Day Pivot Playbook' audit (a $147 purchase) goes live, with a community of owners doing the same community audit and attending weekly diagnostic office hours comes online. 👉🏼Until then, join me for free and hang out for a bit. No hype. No recycled tactics. No cost. Save the frustration & your community; then on August 15, you'll have the option to join the big leagues.

Your Grandchildren Are Remembering This Right Now...
I created Grandparents Corner because I believe one day our grandchildren will tell stories about us. ❤️ 🔆 Not because of the expensive gifts. 🔆 Not because of the big vacations. But because of the little things. 🔆 The cookies you always baked. 🔆 The nickname you gave them. 🔆 The books you read together. 🔆 The traditions that only happened at Grandma's or Grandpa's house. 🔆 The way they felt completely loved every time they were with you. Grandparents Corner is a free community for modern grandparents who want to be intentional about creating those moments. Inside, you'll receive practical tools, fresh ideas, and genuine support to help you build deeper connections with your grandchildren and turn ordinary moments into meaningful memories ~ whether they live five minutes away or five hours away. Imagine having all of this in one place… We're continuing to add even more resources, support, and opportunities inside Grandparents Corner: 🎙️ Expert guest speakers on today's grandparenting challenges 📚 A growing library of books and resources by age and stage 🎨 Toys, activities, and crafts that encourage connection 💌 Tips for creating meaningful bonds across the miles 💰 Even simple ways to earn extra income from home so we can say "yes" to more experiences and memory-making moments Because children rarely remember our schedules. They remember our presence. They remember how we made them feel. And long after we've forgotten certain moments, they'll still be carrying those memories with them. 🌿That's the kind of legacy we're building inside Grandparents Corner It's completely FREE, and we'd love to have you join us. When your grandchild tells stories about you someday, what do you hope they say?

My paternal grandmother probably didn't really envision herself being one, as she wasn't the touchy-feely type of grandma. She could burn water, however, she did know how to bake some very tasty biscuits. I looked forward to those every summer, and she'd always bake a fresh bacth every couple of days when we'd visit. 🩶 My maternal grandma, all 4'6" of her, was a Southern cook (not always the healthiest fare), but every meal was very tasty. She was a sharecropper's wife with barely a 5th grade education, but she raised eight children, my mother being the youngest at 93, and prepared every meal from what they grew in the fields. 🩶 She'd hug us like it was everything to her... which it was, and for us, too. My maternal grandpa was a recovering alcoholic when I came along, so I missed the negative side of him. I only knew him for five years before passed away from heart disease. He bought me a little rocking chair to sit beside his on their expansive front porch. He's also responsible for my first of the last seven-million cups of coffee to was down mu gullet, at three (mostly milk and sugar back then). Regardless of their personalities, I have loving memories of them all involving food. 🩶☕️
