This video really shows how deeply branding shapes our perception.We’re not just smelling with our nose, we’re smelling with our eyes, our memories, and the logos we’ve been trained to trust. We live in a world conditioned by ads, hype, and big names like YSL, Dior, LV… so when something looks “luxury,” we assume it must be better.And when something comes with no branding, no story, no marketing, we often (unfairly) label it as “cheap” or “garbage”. This experiment proves that most of the time, we’re not judging the scent… we’re judging the idea of the scent. A quick reminder that perception is powerful, and sometimes completely misleading.

"Let’s be honest: Sauvage EDT is one of the greatest fragrances ever created."
I saw this posted on Reddit and it got me thinking. I know the "fragrance snobs" love to hate on it because it’s everywhere, but the DNA and performance are honestly hard to beat. It basically defined the modern "blue" scent. Is it a legitimate masterpiece that deserves the hype, or are we just totally over it at this point? What’s your take—Hall of Fame or overplayed?

SOTD: M. Micallef GNTonic
Been craving some fresher scent profiles. I’m a bit over the sweet scents currently. Grabbed this one from Maxaroma. This one is excellent. Opens up with a lime and citrus, with mint and Ginger. Smells very similar to a Gin & Tonic to my nose. This is going to be an excellent summer scent. Only draw back for me is that it lasted about 4-5 hours on my skin. Projects well for the first hour or so. This one is a spring summer/ daytime/ casual. Work safe be aware that it could be considered a boozy scent. This is my 3rd Micallef scent, I am very impressed so far with quality and the scent profiles. 8.5/10
