You built them a site and you're DONE? NO
a lot of us stop at delivery. client wanted a site, we built it, we hand it off. but in reality, that’s just the starting line. a website is a foundation, and most businesses need way more than a pretty front door. once it’s live, there’s opportunity to layer in real value: - social media automation: this one’s an example i set up where posts get drafted and scheduled across linkedin, instagram, and even x with ai-generated text and images. keeps their presence consistent without the client lifting a finger. - crm + lead nurturing: connect forms directly into a crm, build in automated follow ups, and you’ve just made the site an active salesperson. - analytics + reporting: most clients don’t check their site traffic, but they’ll open a simple weekly email report. that’s a no-brainer upsell. - seo + content workflows: a steady system for optimizing and posting new content so the site actually ranks instead of just existing. - the point is, delivering a site is one phase. helping the business get traction, save time, and generate revenue from it is where the real relationship (and recurring revenue) starts. curious..for those of you who build sites, what’s the #1 upsell or add-on that’s been easiest for your clients to say “yes” to?

tightening up my lead intake
been working on tightening up my lead intake and follow up process, and thought i’d share something that’s been making my life a lot easier. i set up a flow where whenever someone fills out a form (seller, buyer, partner, whatever), the info runs through an ai prompt that instantly creates a full, detailed statement of work, basically laying out what’s needed, potential solutions, risks, and next steps. the cool part is it also scores the lead, so if it’s above a certain threshold it automatically makes a doc in google drive and opens a task in clickup. if it’s not qualified, it just filters it out so i’m not wasting time chasing the wrong opportunities. this means i can go from “form submitted” to “organized plan + action item” in minutes without touching a thing. no more copy pasting details, no more forgetting follow ups. just clean, consistent, and ready to move forward. for me, that’s been huge, especially on busy days when it’s easy to get bogged down in admin instead of actually closing deals. thought i’d share in case anyone’s looking to cut out some of that manual work and stay focused on the right leads. Let me know if anyone's interested in checking this out!

Scraping Companies, finding site errors and offering to fix them for free
I built a simple automation that finds local business websites with broken links or SEO issues and offers to fix them for free. It sends a personal message based on what’s actually wrong on their site, so it feels thoughtful, not like a cold pitch. In just two weeks, 28% of people have responded, which shows how far a little value and real personalization can go when you're trying to build genuine connections. Let me know if you want this and good luck!

Always a win win! Give them great work and always try to upsell them! There's so much more value in what you do and can keep them coming back for more. Great job!
You need to learn the art of upselling
I've closed many clients now for sites and the biggest thing I've personally learned is to finish the first project and immediately think of other ways to add value. I came up with this content blog posting system that finds relevant content (This one finds Reddit and Quora threads in the specific industry) and then it will post the content on LinkedIn or wherever you feel your most qualified leads are located. I gave this exact model to an agency for $1840 a month and they signed for 6 months with me. My job is to maintain it, make changes as necessary and keep them updated/informed for any optimization. Good luck everyone and let me know if you have any questions!
