In the Marrow of the Psyche
There is a beast that needs to be fed. There is an ego, which needs to be appeased. This ego will seem to be a veil of which we set in front of our self, our image, of which people external of us are to experience. A seemingly untamable, visceral power which sinks its claws into our part of the brain that makes decisions. We must make judgment and commit to the process of enlightenment of self, by the rule of our ego. So can we “conquer” this ego? Is conquering it even worth the time and effort? Is conquering our ego even possible? Or, are we able to furnish upon its lavish throne, a tapestry of compromise and compassion for others desires and needs? Let me know your thoughts. Austin
Don’t Let Life Happen to You…
This quote is one of the lesser known from da Vinci, yet I believe it’s one of the most profound ideas he ever put forth. It ties in quite nicely with the idea of ownership we discussed in the last post, but it takes the construct one step further. When we sit back and allow Life to happen to us, we are actually giving up responsibility for those things that happen to us and because of us, and this leads to total sacrifice of personal power… You see, they got it wrong in Spider-Man. Great Power doesn’t come with great Responsibility, it’s the other way around entirely. With great Responsibility, comes great Power. The more we take ownership, take responsibility of the things that happen to us and because of us, the more Power we gain over those situations. It was not my fault I got cancer when I was 18, but fault is irrelevant. What matters is I took responsibility for how I was going to react to that situation. That made all the difference, and is one of the reasons I’m still alive today. Take back responsibility for Life’s circumstances, and earn the Power over Life that comes with it… Then go out and Happen to Life. Let me know your thoughts in the comments below ⬇️🙏🏻 BE IMPOSSIBLE ❤️‍🔥

Wonderful perspective on this concept brother. 💯
Comfort
Dear All, I’ve been struck by a long streak of comfort. Dangling from the precipice for a long time, I’ve held onto what I’ve achieved so far. But I’ve looked up time and time again, with jealous and envious stares. Towards this peak of progress, I’ve yearned for something greater. Comfort, has kept me on my current plateau. Yet, I am the one responsible for this lack of movement. The shackle is tight, and I am the one whose own acts and decisions, preventing me from breaking them. So I remind myself every single day, that I am responsible for my life. I need to be held accountable, by my self, for the progress that occurs from here on out. Taking action with intense purpose and disciplined intent, will be the remedy to my inaction. The hammer to break these shackles. Because comfort will not keep me from that next peak. Best, Austin
Yes, I will.
Dear Friend, I write to you as I wipe the tears from my eyes; remembering the times we laughed, the times we wept, and the times we sat in silence. But our minds were not silent in these moments, as our souls brazenly wondered through the ether of such bright and colorful dreams. Ambitions we shared of the future. Of the times we were to yet have, the moments we were hoping to live. So as I carry onwards through day and night, I feel as if there should be no end to this fight. For we found this way together, so damned exciting. Yet I always drift, either under the stars or clouded light, for these times I find myself alone, to be in absolute awe of what we were able to share. A grandeur of spectacles to absorb into my being, bringing me such much appreciation for what we had shared. Through it all, you and I found true meaning to the word life. For life is best spent pursuing those dreams, together. Yours Forever, I just finished watching the movie “1917” by Sam Mendes. And it’s quite the powerful movie. Not only that it was shot in 2 shots, but the story carries so much power and fervor. And my eyes are filled with tears as I had written this message. “Yes, I will.” is a line delivered by Will Schofield to a personal carrier truck of other privates, who told him his path to complete his mission was not possible. That he should stray from his intended mission. Even though he lost a dear friend along the way, the mission was still alive and necessary to complete. He was to save a many others, regardless of losing his mate. To carry on, even with heavy heart. And it bears a mighty weight on my being, knowing that we do not live forever. That I cannot carry on this mission forever. But WE, can. And we must. “Through Fire we walk, with Fire in heart!” -Adam “Nergal” Darksi.
