๐ŸŒค What would a real mental health day look like for you?
Not the aesthetic version. The honest one. More sleep? No notifications? Crying in the shower? โœจ If you could take a day this week, what would you include?

My mental health days include putting the phone down, curling up with a good book and my favorite beverage and reading until I fall asleep then waking and repeating. I love to read a good fiction with lots of feel good moments where there is conversation and truth and love and understanding.
Today is Going to be a Great Day! โ˜€๏ธ
Okay, I'm just going to say it โ€” today is going to be a great day. I don't know what's on your plate, I don't know if you slept well or if your coffee is already coldโ€ฆ I do know that you showed up. And that? That's everything. Mornings have this sneaky way of setting the tone for everything that follows. The way we talk to ourselves in those first few groggy minutes, the thoughts we let take up space before we even get out of bed โ€” it all matters more than we realize. So here's what I do when I feel like the day is already running ahead of me without my permission: I pause. Like, a full stop. And I ask myself โ€” what's one thing I can do for ME today? Not for my inbox. Not for anyone else's needs. Just one small, loving thing for myself. This morning I took out my daily prayer and meditation book, read the prayer, thought on it, then sat in meditation on it for about 5 minutes. That's my reset. That's how I took the morning back. And listen โ€” you don't have to have it all figured out by 8am. You just have to be willing to start. The great day follows from there. ๐ŸŒฟ Now I want to hear from you. What's your go-to morning reset when you need to get back in your own corner? Drop it below! I love learning what works for this community. ๐Ÿ‘‡

I am not a coffee drinker but I love my morning time and often you will find me soaking in an epsom salt bath. I love the water really warm, my comfort music playing and will either take a nap or read a good book as I let the soak do its thing.
๐Ÿ˜ด Itโ€™s National Sleep Week โ€” Letโ€™s Talk About Real Rest
Hey beautiful ๐Ÿ’› Itโ€™s National Sleep Week (info here from National Sleep Foundation), and today is National Nap Day! Honestlyโ€ฆ this might be one of the most important wellness conversations we can have. Because sleep isnโ€™t just about โ€œgetting enough hours.โ€ Itโ€™s about giving your body and mind the chance to restore, repair, and reset. ๐ŸŒ™ This is why I love a good nap ๐Ÿ˜ด When we sleep well, everything shifts a little: โœจ our mood feels steadier โœจ our patience gets longer โœจ our bodies heal and recharge โœจ our minds feel clearer and calmer But letโ€™s be real for a minuteโ€ฆ sleep can be tricky. So many things can keep it at bay, right? Racing thoughts. Scrolling just a little too long. Stress or hormones or ... life being life! And if thatโ€™s you right now, please hear this: youโ€™re not doing anything wrong. Many of us are relearning how to rest in a world that celebrates being busy. This week is just a gentle invitation to start noticing your relationship with sleep and ask: How can I support my rest a little more? Maybe that looks like: ๐ŸŒฟ putting the phone down earlier ๐ŸŒฟ dimming the lights at night ๐ŸŒฟ creating a calming bedtime ritual ๐ŸŒฟ or simply giving yourself permission to go to bed without guilt Rest is NOT laziness! Rest is maintenance for your whole being. I look at this way - if my Creator hadn't meant for me to rest, He would not have made it possible for me to be tired or sleepy. Sometimes - we need help to sleep, don't we? Two of our favorite sleep aids from our trusted source, BulkSupplements, include: Melatonin Soft Gel - widely used in nighttime routines to help promote restful sleep with no side effects Valerian Root Extract Capsules - known for its calming properties, it may help support a relaxed state without drowsiness during the day, it's a stronger supplement So tonight, imagine tucking yourself in the way you would care for someone you love โ€” with softness, kindness, and patience.

I have absolutely no trouble falling asleep. And I sleep deep until 3-4 am. And sometimes I get up at 4 am to keep from tossing and turning and further wearing myself out. Those extra wake hours help me accomplish many tasks and clear my brain for more thoughts.
Time for an Emotional Water Break ๐Ÿ’ง
Hey Beautiful๐Ÿ’› I had a thought this morning โ€ฆ We talk a lot about drinking more water for our bodies which, yesโ€ฆ please go grab a glass if you havenโ€™t yet ๐Ÿ˜„). But we donโ€™t talk nearly enough about emotional hydration. (did you know Ariel is hosting a hydration challenge this week?) And the truth isโ€ฆ our feelings need water too. Not the kind that comes from a bottle โ€” the kind that comes from attention, space, and honesty. Think about it. When emotions get ignored for too long, they start to feel a little like a houseplant you forgot about. The leaves droop. Things feel dry. Your energy dips and you canโ€™t quite explain why. Sometimes what your soul needs most is simply permission to feel what you're feeling. Maybe that looks like: ๐ŸŒฟ a few minutes of quiet because your brain feels crowded ๐ŸŒฟ a good cry that clears out the pressure valve ๐ŸŒฟ laughter with a friend that lifts your whole mood ๐ŸŒฟ sitting with gratitude when something beautiful happens All of thatโ€ฆ is emotional hydration. Itโ€™s not about fixing everything. Itโ€™s about giving your inner world a little care and oxygen so it doesnโ€™t get parched. So today, hereโ€™s a gentle little check-in between friendsโ€ฆ Pause for a second and ask yourself: What emotion is asking for a little attention right now? No judging. No rushing it away. Just noticing. Because when we give our feelings space, something really beautiful happens โ€” they soften, they move, and they make room for peace again. ๐Ÿ’ฌ Letโ€™s check in with each other: What emotion could use a little nourishment today? ๐Ÿ’›

We (my doctor and I) have been trying to balance my hormones. Too much this and I physically hurt all over, too heavy that and I am a crying mess. I was reading a book in school pick up line and goodness how the tears did flow. I need these hormones to get aligned!! Itโ€™s nice to just sit without expectation of being whatever and pleasing whoever. I found a sign and bought it! It reads: She remembered who she is and the game changed!!
The Sleep Struggle Is Realโ€ฆ But Cheryl Found Something That Works
Yesterday I was talking with my friend Cheryl about sleep. This being National Sleep Week and the question from @Liz Ducote had me thinking... You know those conversations that start with โ€œCan I ask you something?โ€ and suddenly youโ€™re deep into the realities of midlife? Yeahโ€ฆ that kind. Cheryl is in that perimenopause season. Most of her symptoms are actually pretty mild, thankfully. But every now and then her sleep gets weird. Not terribleโ€ฆ just light. The kind where you technically sleep but wake up feeling like your brain was half-on duty all night. If youโ€™ve ever had that kind of sleep, you know what I mean. You wake up thinking, โ€œDid I actually rest?โ€ Anyway, Cheryl told me sheโ€™d tried a handful of sleep supplements over the past year. Some helped for a few nights, some didnโ€™t do much at all. Nothing really stuck. Then she tried the Sleep CBN Gummies from Erth Wellness. And the first thing she said to me was: "Jenniferโ€ฆ the difference is wonderful!" Not the โ€œworked once and never againโ€ kind of thing. Not the โ€œslept great but felt like a zombie the next morningโ€ experience. Just steady, dependable sleep. She told me she takes one as part of her nighttime wind-down and sheโ€™s no longer doing that 3:00 a.m. ceiling-staring routine. Her sleep feels deeper, and she wakes up feeling like she actually rested. Hereโ€™s what Cheryl said she loves about them: โ€ข Deep, uninterrupted sleep โ€ข Gentle formula with no groggy morning feeling. โ€ข Fast acting which means she doesnโ€™t have to wait forever for it to kick in. Her words, not mine: "It just feels like my body finally settles down at night." If sleep has been a little unpredictable lately (hello, hormones), it might be something worth looking into. Use code MINDFUL for 25% off your order. ๐Ÿ‘‰ Get your sample pack of Fast Acting Sleep Gummies From the Erth Wellness Site: - Powerful Sleep Support: CBN naturally promotes calmness, relaxation, and improved sleep quality. - Melatonin Boost: Each gummy includes 1.5mg of melatonin, helping synchronize your bodyโ€™s sleep cycle for a smooth transition into rest. - THC-Free Formula: Enjoy restful sleep and relaxation with zero psychoactive effects. - Delicious Flavor: Sweet and tart Sleepy Blackberry flavor makes your nightly routine something to look forward to. - Vegan & Lab-Tested: Made with pectin (not gelatin) and verified by third-party labs for safety and purity.
