I've been building out a standardized way to launch ICM projects that fills the projects in with all the necesary files and folders. It's been working well but the place I've struggled is updating the works in progress when I update my standards.

@David Vogel I did see a post about it and some others about creating standards based on what has been posted here. I built this out before I knew about them, and plan on comparing what I have come up with vs. what those recommendations are. However I also think that working a project like this is useful for me in understanding this method overall, so no regrets. Thanks for calling that out though!

@Vanshaj Bindlish nothing significant. just a gaming pc. but I've heard (assumed?) the open source models can do a lot with a little.

@Leo Saraiva Thanks thats great insight! One of the first thing that I did was to create a folder for fleshing out ideas, and then another folder for turning those fleshed out ideas into an ICM structure with a standardized set of rules and instructions about how I like to work. I included my preference for engagment over autonomous decission making, so I guess I am heading in the right direction there. That said the way you explained this absolutely clarified the issue for me. Like two different people reading the same book and getting different things out of it. Brilliant, thank you for sharing that!

@Chanse Kornik I'm doing this as a personal learning and not for business. Looking to get a better understanding the technology. Many of my ideas are to do with finding ways to optimize my own life and make things that are a pain easier. There is some outbound and inbound marketing development in the mix as well that will consist of working on my personal brand, automating some (re) posting of ideas and development of new ideas. However I'm very wary of creating more AI slop and think that the involvement of the algorithm will be mostly to help propogate what I create not to create it.

@Chanse Kornik I've watched all the videos at this point. But maybe I will rewatch that one. My first build was a set of folders that does that for me, prompts me to answer the necessary questions and then puts together a set of folders and their aligned context and reference (still dubious on this) files. My second build was an ideas factory that helps flesh out ideas that I want to build and then calls the build out. So now I have a pipeline to walk my ideas from an initial one liner, into a fleshed out idea, into a set of folders, which then becomes the framework for actually building the ideas. I've used it once to go through a project deduping and sorting all my bookmarks and it worked quite well. 1700->1300 sorted into 12 categories with sub categories. Suddenly stuff is findable again!
