Looking for Insights: Transitioning from Hotel Management to AI
Hello AI Advantage Community, I’d love to hear your thoughts and advice on my current journey. I have over 27 years of experience as a hotel manager, working with luxury properties across the United States, Canada, the Caribbean, and Mexico. In recent years, I shifted my focus to managing smaller boutique hotels, drawing on my early hands-on experience in the industry. Along the way, I’ve gathered a wealth of insights and even started a YouTube channel sharing knowledge about hotel management. As the industry landscape evolves, I’m noticing that new opportunities are increasingly geared toward younger generations, which has led me to consider transitioning away from hotels. I’m especially interested in learning how artificial intelligence can support career growth and knowledge sharing—over the past two years, I’ve experimented with using AI for reporting and developing training programs for hotel staff, and I’m eager to go further. One of my goals is to write a book about my long career and the lessons I’ve learned in hospitality. I’m curious if anyone here has resources or advice for someone hoping to turn a lifetime of experience into a new chapter—possibly through writing, content creation, or connecting with others who share similar backgrounds. Has anyone else taken this path, or is anyone interested in collaborating or sharing knowledge? Looking forward to your stories and suggestions!
