Do you have your own Skool community?
I think most of us do here but I know some are still exploring Skool or are very new! If you don’t have a Skool yet, what questions do you have? If you DO have a Skool, comment & share what you love about it! (And maybe answer a few questions from those who don’t!) P.S. if you want to start a Skool, you can do it for free right here. - Get crystal clear about who it’s for. - Articulate that on your about page (feel free to use the free template & training in the classroom) - Connect on Skool and in communities to naturally attract members. (There are other ways but this is a great start) - Ask questions. Chat to new members. See what they want, and create content from there. - Skool is very COMMUNITY focused and led. I’ve found it works best this way! 💕

Definitely more genuine connection here and I have only seen good vibes! FB became snarky!

I thought it would be FUN to kick off an About Page Feedback Thread so we can support each other and level up our copy together. I’ve already noticed how thoughtful and helpful so many of you are with feedback (seriously… some of you could be copy coaches. Looking at you @Matthew O'Brien 😄). Your About page is often the very first impression someone has of your community or offer. Fresh eyes can spot blind spots we can’t see ourselves. Here’s how it works: 👇 Drop your About page link below 💬 Give feedback on at least one other person’s page in this thread When giving feedback, consider: • Can you tell who it’s for right away? • Is there a clear transformation or outcome? • Is authority or credibility established? • What’s included — and are the benefits clear? • Is there a reason to join now? • Is there a clear call to action? P.S. Thank you for your grace and kindness while I’ve been sick. I appreciate you so much!

150 comments? 😱
Guys, I’m BLOWN away. Yesterday, I posted a random feedback thread where members could share their about page, get some feedback, and give some feedback. 24 hours later and we have 150 comments from members helping each other. The most kind, generous peer support. 🥰 Idk if I’ve ever seen anything like it in a Skool community before, and I’m just so grateful. …especially because I’ve been sick for the last 3 days and haven’t been able to be as active as I normally am. I really wanted to create a community that wasn’t just about me and my expertise. But where we can give and learn from each other. This has exceeded my expectations of what could happen in our community when I launched it just 14 days ago. 🥹🥹 So THANK YOU for being here! ❤️ If you’d like peer feedback on your about page, feel free to share it on this thread. Make sure you provide feedback to at least one other member. 🙌 P.S. there’s just 48hrs left to upgrade to our Premium plan for just $49/year (yes, YEAR, lol) before it goes to $99/year. You’ll unlock: - all the copy templates in the classroom - replays of future workshops (on emails, tiers copy, auto DMs and more) I’ve been told it should be higher priced, and I get that. I do. But I want to make it available at this price to thank you for being here from the very start. 🫶 It’s a no brainer. 🤪 Upgrade here. ❤️

@Elise Hodge Absolutely!
I reviewed 15 Skool About pages — almost all were missing THIS
2 days ago, I ROASTED a bunch of Skool About page on THIS POST here. TOTALLY different niches, topics, & creators. The communities seemed SO awesome. I could tell that once members were INSIDE, they'd get a ton of value. BUT the problem is: - The About Page needs to CONVERT as many visitors to members as possible! And after reviewing 15 pages in a row, the same patterns kept popping up again and again… Here’s what I noticed 👇 -- 1. Lots of lovely words BUT not enough clarity So many pages sounded beautiful. Inspiring. Heart-led. But I still couldn’t instantly answer: 👉 Who is this actually for? 👉 What changes if I join? And if I can’t tell in 5 seconds…neither can someone finding you through Skool discovery. As a copywriter, I always tell my clients + students: CLEAR > CLEVER. (EVERY time!!!). Unfortunately, sometimes when we lean on AI to write our copy, it includes a bunch of words that don't realllllly make sense, or that don't convey what we want to say in the most simple, easy-to-understand format. So be aware of that! Write in simple language. Write like you're explaining something to an 8 year old :) -- 2. The point of difference was almost always buried People had a genuinely unique method or approach… …but it was hidden halfway down the page. (Like one community that teaches guitar by creating music instead of boring exercises 👀). - How cool is that?! Your about page shouldn't JUST highlight the outcome. It should highlight HOW you do it differently. That’s usually the whole reason someone chooses you over another Skool. P.S. I gave an example of what highlighting your POV can look like in THIS post here >> -- 3. Authority was there — just in the wrong spot Decades of experience. Great results. Super interesting backgrounds. And then it was tucked right at the bottom like a little footnote 😂
