NCECA Baltimore Hotel Update — The Pottery Takeover Is Growing
A little follow-up to my previous accommodation post for anyone coming to NCECA Baltimore 2027. As some of you will have seen, our original Airbnb was unexpectedly cancelled, which left a group of us suddenly needing to find somewhere else to stay. After a lot of searching, emailing, comparing, slight panicking by me, and a very helpful hotel manager, I’ve managed to secure a great discounted group rate at SpringHill Suites by Marriott Baltimore Downtown / Inner Harbor. If you want the full hotel details, rates, cancellation terms and location info, have a look for the accommodation post I shared a couple of days ago. Since then, I’ve had lots of people asking who is staying at the hotel with us, especially as there has been a flurry of more potters joining the group booking, so I thought I’d share a little update. I think it’s going to be so lovely having so many of us in the same hotel, especially for arrival day, breakfast catch-ups, walking over to the convention centre, and all those little in-between moments that make these trips so special. Even better news — I’ve just managed to secure a further block of 10 additional rooms that can be released into our group booking, subject to availability and room type. So, if you’re coming to Baltimore and you’re still looking for accommodation, or you’d like to join us at the same hotel, drop me a message on Skool or comment below and I’ll check availability for you. I’ll add the current list of people staying at SpringHill in the comments rather than making this main post too long, and I’ll keep adding to the comments as more people join us. So, on a scale of 1–10, how excited are you getting? I'm finally starting to believe this is actually happening!!! I’m so thrilled that we can finally start moving from the accommodation panic into the fun part — the planning, preparing, and getting excited about actually being together in Baltimore. For anyone who has been to NCECA before, please share your tips, must-dos, favourite moments, or anything you wish you’d known before your first time. I think a lot of us would love to hear what to expect.

@Kay Chandler I do like it when I’m home but my studio didn’t feel safe for the strong winds for some reason ☺️ it was almost 100 km per hour with a tornado warning 👀
Meet Henrietta and Harry
Me and my friend Carla had fun in the studio with Maxine’s tutorial to make turtles! It was amazing. I hope I remember name of Carla’s girl correctly lol The couple need to patiently wait to dry now. Week is enough u guys think or more? Maxine’s tutorial is amazing! I am not sure if she is visiting here but if yes. Thank you! I will share after glazing, hopefully the couple will survive 💕

@Jeanette Stevens thank you Jeanette, I will wait longer then. The couple can skip incoming bisque and hang out on the shelf one more week or even more cuz I’m expecting guests from Poland on the weekend and it might mean no time for pottery for 2 weeks. We need to do Niagara, CN tower and showing around Toronto and the farm so will be busy 🤩

A warm welcome to all our new members 🤍
If you have been quietly reading along so far, feel free to jump in anytime. We would truly love to get to know you and hear your thoughts. You can start simple and just say hi in the comments below. That is always the easiest first step. Take your time to scroll, read, and get a feel for everything. It can feel a bit overwhelming at first when many people already know each other, but do not be shy. We have all been there.🫶 It only takes a small moment of courage, and suddenly you are part of the conversation. So happy to have you here ✨
