A little follow-up to my previous accommodation post for anyone coming to NCECA Baltimore 2027. As some of you will have seen, our original Airbnb was unexpectedly cancelled, which left a group of us suddenly needing to find somewhere else to stay. After a lot of searching, emailing, comparing, slight panicking by me, and a very helpful hotel manager, I’ve managed to secure a great discounted group rate at SpringHill Suites by Marriott Baltimore Downtown / Inner Harbor. If you want the full hotel details, rates, cancellation terms and location info, have a look for the accommodation post I shared a couple of days ago. Since then, I’ve had lots of people asking who is staying at the hotel with us, especially as there has been a flurry of more potters joining the group booking, so I thought I’d share a little update. I think it’s going to be so lovely having so many of us in the same hotel, especially for arrival day, breakfast catch-ups, walking over to the convention centre, and all those little in-between moments that make these trips so special. Even better news — I’ve just managed to secure a further block of 10 additional rooms that can be released into our group booking, subject to availability and room type. So, if you’re coming to Baltimore and you’re still looking for accommodation, or you’d like to join us at the same hotel, drop me a message on Skool or comment below and I’ll check availability for you. I’ll add the current list of people staying at SpringHill in the comments rather than making this main post too long, and I’ll keep adding to the comments as more people join us. So, on a scale of 1–10, how excited are you getting? I'm finally starting to believe this is actually happening!!! I’m so thrilled that we can finally start moving from the accommodation panic into the fun part — the planning, preparing, and getting excited about actually being together in Baltimore. For anyone who has been to NCECA before, please share your tips, must-dos, favourite moments, or anything you wish you’d known before your first time. I think a lot of us would love to hear what to expect.
