I’ve tried something new on my YouTube channel. I just posted a long format video (79 minutes) of me glazing and telling stories. My intention was making a video that could be played in the background to keep someone “company” if they work alone in a studio like I do. It was fun to make but took longer to upload and edit. My iPad microphone had some glitches which I need to figure out. That notwithstanding, I would value your feedback on this video before I try another one. This is day 6 and we finished all wall painting day 5 and painted base coat on all windows and doors day 6 and at the end of the day we started first coat of the clay color in the store area. Tomorrow is probably a day off, if we don’t have so much energy that we’ll do some painting. It depends on my husband and what he’s able to do, due to he’s health issues. Otherwise we’ll see you on Monday the 2nd of February. Have a wonderful weekend ❤️

Before heading to Antarctica, I managed to finish one last project today.☕️☕️☕️ It started as an idea last Saturday and came together surprisingly fast. On Sunday, a friend and I hand-built ten cups and added our gym’s logo. On Monday, I threw a few more cups, trying to match the same size — again with our gym logo. After that, the usual rhythm followed: drying, bisque firing on Thursday, unloading on Friday, sanding and glazing, loading the kiln again on Saturday — and today I finally unloaded them so I could bring them to the gym to be used for coffee.🔥 Even though I worked with the same reference and the same stencil, every cup turned out a little different. Because of that, I decided to glaze them in 15 different shades of blue. Not every blue came out truly blue — the differences are pretty striking.💙🔷🔵🩵🌀 I’ll show this in more detail in my kiln loading/unloading video. I’m not sure yet when it’ll be edited and uploaded — maybe Tuesday, before I leave. What’s your first impression?

I went for my 6-week post-op check up today and the doc said I don't have to wear the neck brace anymore!!! I am still on a 20-lb lift restriction and no headstands. 🤣 I just might try a little throwing tonight if I get home from the committee meeting in time. WootWoot!
