Okay, so CapCut just quietly updated their Terms of Service (around June 12–21) and it’s honestly a bit of a red flag, especially if you’re a content creator. Here’s the deal: When you edit or upload any content to CapCut and yes, even private drafts, you automatically give ByteDance (the company behind TikTok) and their partners: A perpetual, global, royalty-free, irrevocable license to use, modify, share, repost, and even monetize your work.Including your face, voice, style, username, and anything else in your video.😱 And no. you DON'T get credit, and you DON'T get paid. Even if you don’t post it. Even if you delete your account later. That license still stands. If your in the UK or EU you’re a little safer. EU/UK consumer laws mean companies can’t just override your basic rights. So some of this may not hold up legally if challenged. BUT The TOS still says you give them those rights, and unless you fight it legally (aka hire a lawyer), they’re assuming they can use your content however they want. So it’s still… icky.🥲 You can still use CapCut. But the second you edit something inside it, they technically get rights over it, even if you never post it. Which editor are you using as an alternative for Capcut?

Working with a contract is a must as a content creator, but yesterday I got the most weird contract ever or should I say rude... First of all I need to deliver the contract within 4 days included the weekend (they track it with the delivery time of the package even if it is delivered at your neighbours house). If you fail to do so, you need to pay them for every day 8,50 euro of failing to do so. I also can not work with a brand like themselves within the next 3 months (why??? I mean, I make content for their page, not mine). Me asking why they came up with this rule, the lady said it is just a formality. Yes, but if I sign, it is not just a formality anymore... Than pushing me to respond within a few hours or they will find someone else to work with. Would you work with a agency that came up with these rules?

I've got something exciting to share with you all! I landed a travel deal with this amazing villa for my vacation and got to stay there in exchange for content! 1 night usually costs around €400,- a night, how INSANE IS THAT?! But here's the best part, you don't need any followers to start landing these deals. I didn't have to post anything on my socials I just needed to make a few videos and photos of their stay.
