When you can't breathe through your nose...
I believe I have a deviated septum (had it repaired once and I feel like it moved back), so sometimes I just can't breathe through my nose. (I do when I can, and I have taped at night for years.) When I'm too stuffed up, is it best to do the same breathwork but breathing through the mouth, or to skip it altogether? I guess I'm asking, do you still get some benefit if you have to breathe through your mouth or is it better not to? Or does it depend?

First off I'm very sorry to hear about your deviated septum. I empathize and sympathize with the nasal breath struggle as I have my own issues with deviated septum and allergies. A recently learned a cue that really helped me (which you may have already tried) a cue to breath back into your nose not up. Think of it as if you're breathing gently into the back of your throat but through your nose. For an added layer to this I found gently putting my tongue on the roof of my mouth helps while I do the down and back nasal breath. I've now been even able to nasal breath laying face down on a massage table using this method which I never used to be able to do at all. I hope you find what works for you to get that daily functional breath in 🙏💜.

Functional Breathwork Certification
Hello beautiful people! I am interested in the Functional Breathwork Certification but am looking for anyone who has completed or currently working through it for any general feedback. I’d like to know what to expect, and as a yoga and meditation instructor, if this certification would compliment my teaching?

I'm currently just starting module 4 Honestly there's so much to learn within the course that I think can benefit everyone especially in today's society where so many of us have adapted improper breathing patterns (myself included). I think what's offered in the course could definitely enhance and compliment your current instruction in both yoga and meditation.
Completed the Trauma Aware Functional Breathwork Certification.
Now the real practice begins 🌿 I came into this course with a strong interest in trauma aware work, nervous system regulation, conversations, relationships and psychological wellbeing. This course gave me exactly the kind of foundation I had been hoping for. What impressed me most was that the training never reduced breathwork to simply learning a collection of techniques. And I have to say this as well. The amount of material in this course genuinely surprised me. My finances are limited, and I had wanted to begin this kind of training for quite some time. This has been exceptional value for money, and I am genuinely grateful for how much thought, knowledge and practical material has been included. Finishing the course does not mean I feel finished learning. Quite the opposite. I expect the next part to take months, and in many ways years. I will return to the modules repeatedly. I will practise the breathing techniques again and again. My goal now is to turn knowledge into routine. A sincere thank you to the ReWild team for creating something that feels both accessible and substantial. I am genuinely impressed, and very glad that this was the place where I finally began bringing breathwork more consciously into my life 🙏

@Norm Sinback I empathize and sympathize with this. For me with the ReWild breath, the autonomy, cues to return to nasal breathing to go at our own pace to listen to our own bodies. It's the first time I've ever experienced a breath work practice where you're encouraged to return to where you feel good/safe and more focus on the out breath too! Many other breath work sessions I've done they push you to do the longer breath the faster breath the breath hold or the double breaths or increase the fast paces /effort over comfort. Rewild experience was nothing like this, it was all about finding our own pace and safety within the CCB
