Why we hold on so tightly
Just came across this and thought I’d share. As someone who is single, no kids, no pets, no job (currently - as I chose to take a career break) - this really resonates. I have broken all attachments and left my home country (UK to Spain) as it was my dream to move abroad. I identified with my corporate career, and I left that too - as I wanted a break and didn’t want to wait until retirement to have it (what if I’m not mobile by then, what if I don’t live until then). And now I’m like ‘now what?’ Achieving your goals and vision board ideas is great - but then you have to set new ones. I’m currently in that phase, and I’m not going to lie, it’s DIFFICULT. Some days I just sit on my balcony staring out. There’s only so much breathwork, journalling, job hunting, and like minded things you can do. And it’s way too hot to be out in the daytime, only tourists are about! But in this chaos there isn’t the fear like there once was.

@Joanne A Wow, you don’t look old enough to have kids of such age! Yes, we sometimes want to stay in our comfort zones because it’s easier or feels safer. But then our dreams become unrealised. Well done on making the first steps 👏🏽 Where are you planning to move to?

@Joanne A My cousin moved to Jersey and she loves it and will never move back to London. She loves the slower pace and walking ability to everywhere. Good luck on making it happen!
Happy Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday ❤️
I hope everyone has a great day 🥰🥰🥰 if anyone wants to stay connected, links to my instagram, facebook and LinkedIn are on my profile ❤️❤️❤️ xx

@Carole Maudsley Yes you should 🙌🏽 Looks like we both have a mutual connection on there in Beth. She was my teacher for my masters in coaching - small world!

Announcement...
Hello guys, I hope this message finds you so well and in good spirits. I just wanted to apologise for any inconvenience with the page being archived, I genuinely don't know why this happened but I have rectified it so you can all continue to connect for this month. That being said there has been a lot developments behind the scenes with my personal brand and the message Im trying to spread with my platforms. I've never been more crystal clear in how it is I want to help people via my True Self brand and I'm busy working behind the scenes on various resources and programs that I will be presenting to you in the near future. In order to not confuse or dilute my new messaging unfortunately I will have to deactivate this community at the end of this month as I will be coming back with something that is so much more useful to you guys and aligned. I fully understand this group has been a massive help to a lot of people and I don't take this for granted, it's been a privilege witnessing your growth and honesty over the last few months. I urge you all to find another way to connect in the next few weeks until Im back with something that I know can provide you with the true value you deserve. I appreciate all of your continued support and look forward to interacting with you all via my @true self.collective instagram in the time being. This is very much not the end but just the beginning. Thank you all again and I can't wait to take you on this next chapter with me... Yours sincerely, Scott

Thanks for the update, and good to see you doing what feels aligned for you 👏🏽🙌🏽 That being said, I’m not on Insta 🫣 (and no desire to join!) so is there anywhere else I can find your content? And will the new space you refer to also have a similar community feel?
Listening to your body
We are always on the go - trying to fit in work, food, family, friends, yoga, gym, staying hydrated - and whatever else we need to. But how often do you just STOP? Today I came downstairs to my pool area with my laptop thinking I would do 2-3 hours of work. And I just couldn’t be bothered! I haven’t even turned it on. And for the first 30 mins I couldn’t fully relax, feeling guilty telling myself the work needed to be done. But what is the point of doing all the things if we don’t allow ourselves to just feel joy for a little while? If we don’t allow ourselves to rest. If we don’t look around and feel grateful. So this is just a little reminder: it’s okay to miss the things sometimes IF THAT’s WHAT YOU TRULY WANT/NEED. Take the breaks. Enjoy the sun. Sit in the quiet. Feel your body. Fill your cup, because you can’t pour from an empty cup. Tomorrow I have a three hour train to Madrid so I will make up for the lost time then!

Energy Clearing 💫
Ready for a reiki client here in Barcelona 🇪🇸 I can’t stress enough how important it is to clear your energy. It doesn’t have to be with reiki (although it is powerful). But you can do your own little check ins. Ask yourself when you feel depleted or low on energy, is it when you’re around certain people? In certain places? Test it; stay away from those people or places for a couple of weeks and see how you feel. #energy 🌈 💫

@Carole Maudsley Hi Carole, great question! Reiki is a gentle Japanese energy healing technique that helps balance your body, mind, and emotions. It works by channeling universal life force energy to support relaxation, stress relief, and overall well-being, either through light touch or just hovering hands. I have attached something to help explain it a little better. Happy to answer any more questions!
