Cool
I Googled it, It's called an Interlock System
I was on the phone yesterday with a really good friend who also happens to be a long-time client. In two weeks, he’s getting one of those breathalyzer systems installed in his car because of a DUI. As we talked through some upcoming business moves… here’s a bit more context. We’ve been working together for about five years, but it was two years ago that things really started to change. That’s when he began trusting me and actually acting on the things we were suggesting. Since then, his business has gone from scratching out $55K a month, barely making payroll, to pulling in $130K on a good month. And that was without jacking up his overhead. We focused on changes that grew both revenue and profit without piling on new expenses. Now the guy has breathing room, real cash flow. So we were discussing some investment moves. One of them would require him to dip into his cash reserves. While we were weighing whether that made sense or if it’d be smarter to take on some debt, I asked how long it would take him to rebuild those reserves, given his current spending habits and profit margins. He gave me a reasonable timeline, then added, “I mean, I could tighten the belt a bit. I don’t really have many expenses. I do buy a 12-pack every day... but I’m planning to quit in two weeks.” So I asked, “Why two weeks?” He said, “That’s when the system goes on the car.” And I said, “Yeah... but why the fuck would you wait?” He paused. Totally speechless. Then said, “...I don’t know.” I’m using this story as an example, not just about addiction, although it clearly is, but because that mindset shows up everywhere. We all do it. We all have some version of “I’ll do it in two weeks.” We delay what we know we should already be doing. So here’s the challenge: whatever your “I’ll do it in two weeks” thing is, do it now. Just fucking do it, today.

This story nails it. “I’ll do it in two weeks” feels logical in the moment, but it’s really just procrastination with better branding. Your client’s jump from $55K to $130K shows what happens when action replaces delay—compounding results, not compounding excuses. Funny thing is, I’ve seen the same pattern play out in so many areas of business and life, and the shift usually comes down to one brutally simple piece of advice that changes everything.
Sold 1!
Released this a few days ago and sold my first copy, haven’t promoted it, haven’t really pushed it at all. Just kinda been a bit lazy about it. But that one sale was a nice nudge. Might be time to actually give it a bit of a push.

That’s the beauty of it—you’ve already proven people want it, even without effort. Sometimes the “bare minimum push” is the best market test. What I’ve noticed is that a couple of small shifts after that first sale can snowball into something much bigger—happy to share some advice if you’re ever up for a quick chat.
Offer ➡️ Subscriber
Quick little story - So I’m not in a service based business (per se), however I make music and I did also want to provide a service through building a newsletter specific to my niche. Used a formula I got through here and crafted an offer to begin sending out to get some subscribers. Seen how the music on my page worked as advertisement and a bridge, when a guy I do not know and have never met, was eager to sign up and subscribe as one of my first subscribers. Small win and I’ll take it. We’re at 11 people now.
