WOW!!!! 🎉🎉 HECK YESSS, way to go!! That is absolutely AMAZING!! 🤩 Not only had you not practiced on the scooter, but with everything else going on around you she still gave such a clear alert — BOOP!! 🐾💛 That is just fantastic. Thissss made my heart do a big smile!! 🥹🙌 Way to go, Harley!! YAHOO!!! 🎉🐶👏
Sunday smile!🤣
We got Pippa, the cat, a new laser toy. . . She sat there staring at the toy and Saffy ‘played’ with the moving red dot. That was not what we were expecting!🤣 Gave us our daily laugh early!

I love this!! Thank you for posting such a perfect Sunday smile 🤗🐾 It’s adorable — looks like Saffy might be enjoying the laser more than Pippa, lol. And honestly, Pippa seems pretty entertained just watching Saffy play, so it’s a win either way! 😂 One little note to keep in mind: Saffy is super clear-headed but I’ve seen a few dogs (over my years of training) develop neurotic tendencies with laser pointers. I had a shepherd once who wouldn’t pick his head up off the ground — he was constantly scanning for the light, and it took a lot of retraining to break-ish that habit. I think Saffy will be totally fine, but as a precaution it might be good to pair it with something structured — like a bit of obedience or a fun game with you while Pippa’s chasing the light. That way she doesn’t get stuck in “laser hunting mode.” Saffy was excited to see all her friends- especially Griz!! She gave everyone a kiss 😂 and is now resting after dinner.. have a great trip!!
Mission 3 Day 11 Retrieval in a Different Room & Off of a Different Place.
Amica is working on retrieving my Essentials Bag from various places in different rooms of the house. She was definitely hesitant at first. I love how she looks back at me for reassurance and that I can help her by encouraging her that she can do this.

🎉🎉 HECK YESSS!!! Ready to complete Mission 3 Day 11!! 🙌🐾 I love that you took it to a new room and even worked off the dresser — that’s awesome progression! 💪 Such great training — Amica did a fantastic job. Beautiful work, really getting advanced now. Keep up the awesome training — you two are crushing it!! 👏🔥

🎉🎉 HECK YESSS!!! Way to go — congratulations on completing Mission 3 Day 10!! 🙌🐾 I absolutely love everything about this — she’s really getting it and it looks like she’s having so much fun!! 🤩 I did notice the bag looked a little heavy, so she’s working hard to figure out the balance while grabbing the handle and bringing it to you. To make the game easier (and even more fun), you could lighten the load for a bit so she gets a bunch of quick wins and builds up her confidence. Then, as she continues to build confidence, vary the weight to keep challenging her. She’s a total rock star — doing fantastic!! 💛 And I love the new location on the stairs — awesome choice for switching things up! 👏🔥

@Anissa Stark Honestly there’s no single “right” way to do it — you’re still being successful with the way you’re working it now. The heavier weights just add an extra challenge because Amica is focusing on two things at once: grabbing the tab and also managing the weight of the bag. What I’d suggest is bouncing back and forth — give her some really easy wins with very little weight in the bag, then gradually add weight as she builds confidence and keeps enjoying the game. That way she gets those proud, successful reps mixed in with the more challenging ones. She’s doing incredibly well, and this balance of light/easy sessions with gradually increasing difficulty will really help her master both the tab grab and carrying weight. 🙌🐾
😎 Joy Rocking Her Rex Specs
Joy is looking pretty COOOL — becoming desensitized to wearing her new pink Rex Specs! 🐾 When introducing something new like this, it’s all about small steps and positive associations: 1. First, let your dog sniff the gear to get familiar with it. 2. Then, place it briefly on their face. 3. Finally, clip it on their head for a short moment. For now, we’re only working with the frames (no lenses) so Joy can get used to the feeling without too much change at once. Every step is paired with verbal praise, treats, and lots of positive reinforcement. 🐶 Training Takeaway You might notice your dog looking a little uncomfortable or unsure with new gear at first. That’s totally normal! What matters most is what they remember about the experience. At the end of this video, you can see how excited Joy was — and that’s intentional. The "after-training" experience is just as important as the training itself. When you wrap up with 2–5 minutes of fun, play, and “you’re the coolest dog ever” energy, your dog walks away remembering: ✨ “Training with my person is FUN!” ✨ That memory makes them more eager and excited to try again next time. It also helps them shake off any hesitation, bond closer with you, and look forward to learning. Key tip: Always finish on a positive note. Even if the session is calm or a little challenging, end with fun so your dog leaves happy, confident, and ready for the next round!!
