Struggling with getting rid of abdominal fat
I was wondering if anybody has any tips beyond a calorie deficit/protein for getting rid of love handles/abdominal fat. I started my fitness journey at 150. Over a year and a half I got up to 195 and then decided to cut. The start went well. I’ve lost 25 pounds and am now down to about 16/17% body fat. My arms and chest are pretty much skin and muscle, but my love handles and abs still have a lot of fat on them. Now my progress has completely stalled out. It seems like whenever I try to deficit, my body prioritizes muscle consumption over fat consumption and I just get weaker while keeping my body fat. I’m trying to prioritize high protein foods still and tracking calories. Any tips to deal with this?
