☀️ Builder's Morning
Here's a quiet act of courage most builders skip... Deciding, for yourself, what success actually means for your members. Not the flashy version, the real one. When you leave that undefined, you end up chasing someone else's scoreboard, and no number is ever enough. But when you can name the specific change you want for the people you serve, you finally have something true to aim at, and something honest to feel proud of when it happens. So ponder this one today... What does a real win look like for one of your members? Not for you, for them.
☀️ Builder's Morning
@Avinash Khatri That’s exactly what I’m working to clarify. I don’t want YouTube to become another platform where I post inspirational content and hope people somehow find their way to the community. 😅 My vision is for it to become the discovery and trust-building arm of the Law of Attraction Bookclub. I want to create practical, searchable videos around manifestation books, Universal Laws, and the real-life application people often struggle with—then give viewers a natural next step inside the community where they can actually do the work. Over the next year, I’d love for YouTube to become a consistent source of aligned members rather than just views. The goal is not the biggest audience. It’s helping the right woman think, “Finally—someone is showing me how to apply this instead of giving me more information to consume.” I’m still defining the strategy, but that feels like the role: YouTube helps her find me; the community helps her transform.
@Donna Thornton The easiest one, I think, is in the noticing. Activating the Reticular Activating System (RAS). At least it is for me. A quick win is in gratitude. It helps to boost your vibration even on days when you don't feel you have much to be thankful for.

Took the Score Your Community quiz? This is the thread. Drop your scorecard in the comments. Haven't yet? Eight questions, about three minutes: https://skoolology.netlify.app/ The quiz gives you a Copy my scorecard button, so pasting it here takes two taps and a quick comment. 1) Add your priority area and the first move you're making this week 2) Search comments for others with similar challenges Builders working on the same area will find you in this thread, and that is the entire point of this room. A few things to know before you post: 𝗟𝗼𝘄 𝘀𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲. Our own community read low on its first pass through the framework. A score is a map of where to work, not a grade on you, and the builders who post honest numbers are the ones who improve fastest. Nobody in this thread is keeping score on you. The framework already did, and now we get to work. 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝘀𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝗼, 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱. If your numbers came back strong but your community isn't booming yet, it means one of two things. Either the room is strong inside and people can't find it, which is a Reach problem, and Reach has different fixes than Build. Or the grading was a little generous, which happens to everyone scoring their own work, and the capstone in the course cures it with one rule: evidence for every number. Post your scorecard and say which one you suspect. Both are fixable, and both are more common than booming. 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰, 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝘅𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆. 𝗔𝗻𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱, 𝗻𝗼 𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗻 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗱, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝘁. 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗹𝘆. You do need to be a member to comment or post. Some courses are in the private part, members only. So, share at whatever level feels right. The full scorecard is great if you're comfortable with it. If you'd rather keep your numbers private, one line does the whole job: "I scored lowest in Kinship, and I'm working on it this week." That's all the right people need to find you.

@Donna Thornton Yes, I've been nailing down how I want to lead my community and how the bookclub is different from other bookclubs or even other Manifestation/Law of Attraction courses.
@Donna Thornton Thank you! After 30 days, I want a member to be able to say: “I’m no longer just reading about manifestation. I’m actually applying what I learn, trusting myself more, and seeing evidence that my thoughts, choices, and habits are changing my life.” That feels like the real difference. Not more information. More integration. More confidence. More proof that they can become an active participant in creating what comes next.
YouTube Channel Coming Soon
The next few weeks are going to be about monetization, and monetization needs traffic. Growth Boost might help in the short term, but what you really need is sustainable traffic that doesn't cost you 30% in referral fees. So we're launching a YouTube channel in the next few days, and you can follow the whole journey with us. I've been digging into research with vidIQ, but before we go further, we want your input. Why bother researching something as small as a channel name? Here's why: in the Skool growth space right now, men run 11 of the top 12 channels. That's going to shape how we approach this. The big question for you: what kind of content would you actually enjoy watching? Donna and I already disagree on what the first video should be. Maybe we'll just argue in every video? Comment Team Todd or Team Donna and you might just settle it. Team Donna, the Heart position People do not subscribe to information, they subscribe to people. There are thousands of videos explaining how to grow a Skool community and most of them are interchangeable. What is not interchangeable is why two people decided to build this together and what it cost them to do it. That story is the only thing on the channel nobody else can copy. Lead with it and the people who stay are the ones who actually belong here, not the ones who came for a tip and left. You are not trying to reach everyone. You are trying to find your people, and your people recognize themselves in your story. Team Todd, the Data position Your first video teaches YouTube who to show the channel to. Origin story videos on new channels get watched by people who already know you, which tells the algorithm to keep showing you to people who already know you. That ceiling is low and hard to break later. Search volume tells a different story: nobody is typing "why did they start Skoolology" into YouTube, but plenty of people are typing versions of "why is my Skool community dead." Answer the question people are already asking, earn the impressions, then tell the story to an audience that exists.

@Lisa Vanderveen That's what I was thinking!
Team Donna for the win!
☀️ Builder's Morning
A gentle one to start the week, and it's about your community, not this one. A lot of us carry a quiet belief that caring about people and earning a living from that care are somehow in tension, that the purest way to help is to do it for free. And that belief, however noble it feels, can quietly wear a builder down. Here's the reframe worth sitting with... A community that can't sustain the person running it eventually can't keep showing up for its members either. Taking care of yourself, including being paid fairly for real value, isn't the opposite of serving your people. Sometimes it's what lets you keep serving them at all. No agenda here, just something worth making peace with before it becomes a real challenge. Where might you be treating "serving people" and "sustaining yourself" as opposites, when they might actually need each other?
☀️ Builder's Morning
I'm building for free with an upgrade option. Only because I'm learning and defining. Perhaps in the future I'll move to paid tiers. The healthier my business becomes, the better I can show up for the people I'm trying to serve. Turns out impact and income make pretty great teammates.
@Donna Thornton Thank you—that means a lot. 💜 That sentence actually shifted something for me as I was writing it. I think so many of us have been taught to choose between making a difference and making a living, when the real goal is building something that allows us to do both for a very long time. That's the kind of business I'm committed to creating.
Let’s Welcome Alice! 🎉
🌟 Welcome to Skoolology, @Alice Rienzo Alexander ! We're all so glad you're here. I love that your goal for the next 30 days is simply to identify what to improve next. That's exactly what we love helping community builders discover. Your Law of Attraction Book Club already has a great foundation. Sometimes the biggest breakthrough isn't doing more. It's seeing what matters most. Jump in wherever you'd like, ask questions, share what you're building, and don't be surprised if we get curious about your community along the way. 😊 Welcome aboard! We're happy you're here. 💙
