Gluten Free Medication
Hi everyone! How do you all verify that any prescriptions are gluten free? My pharmacist just told me he had no idea how to tell if something is gluten free and I had to explain to him what Celiac is and why it's important that my prescription is gluten free. Spent over 30 minutes trying to verify for myself while standing in the pharmacy with him also "checking". This is the second time it's happened at this pharmacy (obvs going to change pharmacies going forward).

Protein powders
Hi everyone. Does anyone know coeliac safe protein powders i could take. I used to have the MyProtein impact whey protein but I think they cross contaminate so anything like that would be good. I’ve also tried the free soul one but didn’t like the texture so nothing with bits in it please. Thank you

I use Legion clear protein and have never had an issue! I contacted the company and they don't label it gluten free but they said it shouldn't have any cross-contamination.
Celiac symptoms question
Hello Community, I was wondering if during high levels of stress you also experience increased hair loss. I recently got glutenned twice in the time span of 3 weeks, which has been a horrible experience and I noticed that my hair falls a lot more and more often than usual. Do you think this is worrying or is it normal? And do you take any supplements to maintain your hair healthier since you've been diagnosed with Celiac or do you find it unnecessary if your health appears good (other than the celiac itself)?

I get this too! I take collagen every morning and iron supplements and that seems to help.

Hi everyone! I was diagnosed a year and a half ago but have had symptoms for about 7 years now. I live in Everett, WA with my fiancé, dog, and cat. I'm blessed to live in an area of the US that has a good amount of options for Celiacs as a lot of the US does not! I don't know anyone else in my life that has Celiac so I'm stoked to be part of this community! Some of my friends and family are gluten intolerant but not Celiac so it can still feel quite lonely. Excited to get to know you all!

@Yvonne Worden Hi! I'm also in the Seattle area and had to fight to get the blood test done. So annoying. I went through so many unneeded procedures and tests and kept getting told I didn't need the blood test because they didn't think it was gluten. Guess who was right! Me hahaha.

Got my diagnosis just over a year ago but have had symptoms for almost 8 years. Trying to learn how to be more fit while balancing celiac!
