What are you working on?
We had a post like this back in February, I think. So lemme ask again... what are you guys working on right now? Or maybe share what's the plan this week? Either way, share some inside info! As for me... - I'm trying to sell my quarterly 5-week email-writing workshop - And I will be writing my monthly Field Notes (for members) this week - AND, I may consider running some type of auction... who knows. Hoping for an idea to strike... like lightning. Tell us what's keeping you busy these days?

I’m prepping for a workshop I’m teaching this week — “AI can’t pass the tissue box: Emotional intelligence for personal and professional success.” Reworking my messaging/language around selling that workshop series to more corporate clients. Planning a series of university classes on moral philosophy I’m covering for a friend!

@Maliha M all the most interesting subjects are ambiguous, haha! But surprisingly practical too — definitely fun to teach!
Share your unhinged ideas
See... novelty sells. So I'm here to collect novelty today. Share your novel → unhinged business ideas in the comments. I'll go first 👇

@Maliha M Well my thinking is, you’ve got to swap stress for success — so just hitting a pillow isn’t enough. The trick is to hit it in such a way that you feel physically like you really punched something — reasserting autonomy and self-respect. And, of course, if your stress is centred around another person, visualising them on the pillow only helps if your punches feel effective. Therein lies the business 😂

@John Bejakovic now you’re cooking with gas! I think I should go buy the domain punchapillow.com now
Would you take me up on this offer?
If I offered to help you write daily emails and critique every single word of those emails for 30 days straight... So you build the habit of crafting emails daily (and make money in the meantime)... Would you take me up on this offer? And if yes, how much will you pay for such an opportunity?

@Svetoslav Dimitrov I have, but it’s not my main business, so I’m not sure I’d have the time to do anything with the community, you know?
@Svetoslav Dimitrov not a bad idea re: the main biz!
Reuse Reuse Reuse
It's a pity to put a lot of effort into something you only benefit from once. That's why I have 2 odd questions for the group: I find myself in a similar situation as I write some SOPs, tips, and tricks for internal use about how to do some stuff in Klaviyo and a few other platforms, ranging from pretty basic to pretty advanced stuff. Thing is, it's a lot of effort and a lot of hours so I wonder if I could somehow benefit more from it. Obviously, one way is to generalize some of the text and screenshot and try to sell it to a broader audience (aka more than 1). So, my questions are: 1) Have you sold (or seen anyone else sell) things of the same nature successfully? If so, it would possibly be worth putting something like this together 2) Have you seen any other creative ways people utilized such documents?

@Maliha M love this idea — simple and direct!
A confidence problem
I recently put a new page on my website called "Client Love", which features screenshots of feedback I've gotten from clients. And I noticed that there was a lot of really, really enthusiastic feedback there. Like multiple "wows", "I'm amazed," and "blown away." Here's my problem: despite this great feedback, there's this niggling little worm in my brain constantly whispering, "You're not really good enough." This is problematic because it's difficult to sell myself as THE answer to my ideal client's problem... if I myself doubt that it is true. I guess my question is - anyone have any ideas how to get past this hump? Why is feedback from my own clients not convincing me? How do I convince myself that my work is valuable, so I can more successfully convince others of this, so that they hire me?
