I listened to a couple so far and they are really vibey! Very bouncy and easy to groove with. I have trouble with my bass lines when I chop my samples first. Any tips or insight on how you go about it?

@Pyotr Gulua I just saw a video on Abelton’s shifter. Can’t believe I haven’t used it before. I’m going to try this out. Thanks for the tips!

I made a commitment to participate in #beatober which for me has been to post and or make a beat every day. I’ve made and/or posted a beat 8 days in row and have been learning a lot. It’s really helped my work ethic and has forced me to keep creating new ideas. The timeline can be daunting, but the added pressure has allowed me to push pass the 8 bar loop and focus more on my arrangements.
How to not get stuck sitting for too long
A big problem I have is when I sit down to produce, I get stuck sitting there for hours with not much progress. My body hurts from being immobile for too long. How do you take breaks and/or flow faster, without breaking your creative work flow?

It doesn’t help much with the flow or making music faster, but I bought an adjustable stand up desk on amazon and it helped me not feel tired from sitting. Now I can make music and dance in the process. :)
Ambience in music. Have you ever included it in your music?
Hi all! Recently, I’ve been inspired by the use of ambience in house music by the likes of Fred P and more. Have you guys ever included it in your music? And if so, what creative ways have you utilised it? I am currently making my own drum kits made from sounds of the outdoors. I’d love to hear everybody’s thoughts!

@Andrew Colclough It goes perfectly with your track! Love the textures and flutes! Can’t go wrong with a little bit of rain in the background. I like using that and rainforest sounds. Birds and the sound of wind. Nature, man.
