Wavetable Editor: Free Online
Hey All! Just came across this nifty tool https://www.carvetoy.online/ Have not explored much but it is deep and sounds great! If you are into wavetable synthesis this might be perfect for you. Check out the manual here https://doc.carvetoy.online/ Would love to know what other tools people use to edit wavetables? I know some synths have them built in (Phaseplant has a great one) and I have also used Node by Sonic Academy which is simple but effective (and affordable). I would love to be able to import images or even MESH files to create wavetables from! Why? So you can make wavetables from topography, which you can do through a multistep process using something like Blender and sections of the moon...

That's so useful, thank you!
Completing your first track from start to finish
Hey all! I've managed to get past writers block and complete my first ever track from start to finish! It is not ready for release just yet, I've got to adjust the volume on a lot of the tracks, especially the bass. I have added upbeat velocity on the shakers in a newer version. I've also got to either shorten the into, or add more percussion. However, I would love to see what you guys think and if you have any feedback? If this is anybody's style and anybody would be up for collaboration, especially any vocalists, feel free to comment / message. I am working on my dissertation but I will be free from the 1st October onward. :) Also, have any of you managed to finish a track from start to finish, and if so, how did you learn from your first time so that you could consistently finish tracks moving forward? Sorry, the link wasn’t working. Here is a working link: https://on.soundcloud.com/9RDNSKNjb2aiwsjRA
Ambient nonsense
This short track was inspired by a dream I had about rowing across an infinite lake full of floating purple chrysanthemums. I apologise in advance to anybody foolish enough to click the link. I like discordant sounds, and this thing has some. I just put it together and uploaded it now, so I wouldn't do anything differently (apart from learn how to make visuals all by myself!)

I love it! Can tell it is inspired. Very spooky but definitely can picture the scene that you were going for. Keep it up :)
Who's up for a bit more laid back jam?
https://soundcloud.com/archetypal-beasts/blood-orange I have been working on this bit, trying a more relaxed kick-back pace, than Tejanos - but still with a similar forest/jungle vibe to it. I wish to revisit the bass, cause I feel like the `bouncy-bouncy` aspect goes a little too hard in the paint. But regardless, I am sure I could hold on to things forever, and in the spirit of just getting something done...well - here it is.

This is great. You’re definitely finding your style! The atmosphere in this tune works very well, I love the birds. Keep it up!
Ambience in music. Have you ever included it in your music?
Hi all! Recently, I’ve been inspired by the use of ambience in house music by the likes of Fred P and more. Have you guys ever included it in your music? And if so, what creative ways have you utilised it? I am currently making my own drum kits made from sounds of the outdoors. I’d love to hear everybody’s thoughts!

@Andrew Colclough Sounds great! It works really well with the overall track. I recently bought a field recorder so hope to experiment more in the future. :)

@Eithafol Music that’s lovely! I got a field recorder recently and I’ve been going to the bird hides near me to record sounds. My phone is too old so the quality is pretty knackered but the field recorder is so good it picks up planes going overhead that I can’t even hear without it lol!
