Confused About X Traffic in Google PMax – Separate Campaign Possible?
Hey everyone, I’m running PMax campaigns for a furniture brand and noticed something a bit confusing. Most of the conversions are coming from Google (as expected), but I’m also seeing a decent chunk of conversions being attributed to X (Twitter) inside the Shopify reporting (screenshot attached). Couple of questions I’d love some help with: - How exactly does X traffic show up in PMax? Is Google actually running ads on X, or is it some sort of partner placement? - Is there any way to run a separate campaign just for X so I can test it in isolation? - And lastly, any tips on improving conversion rates for high-ticket furniture products? Right now my Google CVR is around 0.5%, X is at 0.36%, while Direct is almost negligible. Would really appreciate any insights 🙏

Taking Over Ads Account from Agency
We treat patients for headaches and migraines. I'm taking over our Ads account from an agency. I think that Conversion Tracking is not set up properly, so that seems like an important place to start. My #1 problem is figuring out how to refine the agency's set-up and generate leads that actually convert.

I'd ofc need bit more context to help you out. But let's start here. So first I'd start with what the goal. What's the North Star? Getting good quality inquiries at a healthy cost per lead that begets a healthy cost per acquisition and profits to your company. Sounds like it's a local clinic. So then you should max out the bottom of the funnel and go after the people that are searching to treat their headaches and migraines. I would say unless you can prove that the PMAX campaigns are working and they're generating good quality leads, then I would leave them. But I don't see the reason having more than one campaign (unless different locations). If search is working better, which is more conventional, then I would leave that. If the conversion tracking is not set up, of course, that's the place to start. You'd want to track those conversion actions that are important to you. It's either phone fills, direct bookings, phone calls or phone calls from ads. You might want to be sending traffic to the landing page, which results in better conversion rates in comparison to a website. You might want to take a look at the keywords and ad groups and make sure that you're going after the bottom of the final high intent exact match. So really all comes down. Is it profitable? Are you achieving your goals? And then you can peel the onion and figure out why, for example, you're having bad lead quality or why your cost per lead is too high or why the volume isn't there. And then reverse engineer and figure out the reasons. I definitely need more contacts to properly help you out, so I'm happy to connect and maybe hop on a quick call to see where you're at.
