Hello, I'm here!
Hello there fellow social masters of all things social. My name is Alex, I was born in Romania but grew up in Canada from a young age. Currently living in Montreal, but likely for not too much longer. I had a very religious upbringing but once I moved out, I got to be social for the first time in my life. I was attending social events, toastmasters, improv classes, I even did standup comedy once. Before all of this I was basically a basement dwelling kid who played video games all day. Similar to John Cooper's story in his book, I was naturally learning through play and self-expression, until I unfortunately came across The Game, and suddenly believed there was some special way you had to be. I wasted quite a bit of my life learning a million different things that I had not needed in the past. After a recent layoff from a job I had for 10 years, I met John in Budapest and noticed how much we had in common as far as our histories and understandings, so I was excited to see what kind of people he brings together in this community.

@Julian Palmer yeah I went to some such couch surfing meetups and stuff like that too, although timeleft is nice for being more intimate, 4 to 7 people typically. For about 20 bucks a month you can force strangers to have dinner with you every Wednesday, not a bad deal.
Hello and some of my videos reflecting on the exercises
Hi Social Heartists! I'm Julian and I'm the producer of this program and also did all the videography. I did John's program about 9 years ago, and found it be beneficial and life changing and helped me to remove a barrier between me the "outer" world and be more connected in life. I'm most well known for my work in the psychedelic world and I also produced this documentary a couple of years ago. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt26922538 My main advice to do the whole program, don't skip anything! Go through it bit by bit and reflect on what comes up for you! These are just a few of my videos I shot on my iphone recording my thoughts and insights when I went through most of the program exercises in November in Tallinn, Estonia last year. With the exercise sitting on the bench saying Hello, I orginally clocked it at 15 minutes, and it was quite chilly, but I enjoyed it so much I did for half an hour!
