Day 34/35/36
Slacking on posting once again, but the last few days have been pretty hectic with cleaning out the house and getting ready for the renovations. We did the boulevard again and still not to many people or distractions so we changed it up and went to the river walk yesterday and today. It was way better!! There were a lot more people and a few more dogs so we definitely got some work in. I had to say over all I’m impressed with how well she did! Barely any reactions towards people which was great! We had a couple reactions to some bikes and scooters and a few dogs we worked through it added a little distance and we were aces! I think the riverwalk will be a good environment to continue working. I’ll try and get some footage out there within the next few days. Good work Maisy! Keep it up 💪🏽

Day 33/34
Been slacking with posting a bit but…… we’ve still been working! 💪🏽 since I finished my self set 4 week structured walk challenge. We did pretty good and our track progress definitely itself improved over time! Our loose leash walk is 10x better I’d say and overall engagement out on the walk has definitely improved! Now that I’ve done a restructure in the home (more time in crate to elongate opportunity for unwanted behaviors, and more designated times for “work” and relaxing.) and more structure on the walk I really want to start to tackle her reactivity. I took her out today and yesterday to the pavilion, usually mild-heavy traffic area, but enough places I can have a good cushion from distractions and get some good work done. If I’m being honest when I went yesterday I thought I had a plan but when I actually got there and started I didn’t feel like I knew what I was doing, or maybe more so I don’t know how to implement why I actually wanted. I think I was just a little to in my head overall but I think it was a decent session and she had some fun. Today was a bit easier cause there was no one out cause it SNOWED!!! Just when we think we’re in the clear and into the nice weather Mother Nature has a laugh. Ah well, we were still out there and did some work just walking by the few people and workers that happened to be out. I got a couple videos from yesterday. I’ll deff be getting some more footage soon! Good work Maisy! Keep it up girl

@Lauren Edwards yes she definitely thinking about things a lot more which I love and she is starting to make some better choices. And yeah that’s a good idea I want to find a dog park a little closer to me and work outside of it. I think that would be really helpful
Day 32 - structured walk and engagement
Pull count: 2 • Longest clean heel duration 1 min 50 secs • Highest reaction intensity (1–10) 1/10 • Obedience response latency (fast / ✔️moderate / slow) • Your energy state (✔️calm / rushed / drifting) This would be last nights post cause I’m a slacker, but it was a Great day! PRs all around lowest pull count since I’ve started tracking with minimal reactivity and our highest heel duration! Such a good morning. She was super engaged and when she wasn’t, she was very easily redirected! Some good triggers to work around to, big oil truck really got her going and I was able to keep her from reacting, increase distance and regain engagement. Food and engagement drills are going strong! Maintained skills looking pretty clean!! Gotta work on better forward positioning in stationary heel, and more centered middle. Great work Maisy!

Devastating news
I am leaving this community because we had to say goodbye to Leto today. He had a problem with his spine, we don’t know what exactly, and was in too much pain to control it. Heartbreak doesn’t begin to describe it.

Sending thoughts and prayers, loss is never easy but apart of life we all have to deal with. I hope you have all the support you need, sending thoughts and prayers ❤️🙏🏽
Day 31 - structured walk and engagement
Pull count: 5 • Longest clean heel duration 1 min 40 • Highest reaction intensity (1–10) 1/10 • Obedience response latency (fast / ✔️moderate / slow) • Your energy state (✔️calm / rushed / drifting) Another good day, although forgot to post yesterday. Got out for our walk this morning. She did really well. our heel duration is up no corrections during loose lease walking only minor pressure to redirect heeling. For an engagement drills went well still working on cleaning up our maintained skills. Off leash control is getting better! Great work Maisy!
