Hopefully temporary halt
I know I don’t post much training now as Leto and I mostly just practise life skills and prey avoidance things in lots of different ways but we’ve come to a hopefully temporary halt as he has hurt his back somehow. He started yelping when lying down and getting up and is clearly in pain. Vet couldn’t see any particular reason and suggested an MRI at £3500 plus so we decided to try painkillers to see if they help and I’ve contacted an animal chiropractor to come and see him once he’s had those. If that doesn’t work we’ll have to think again. This is a one dog bankruptcy machine.

You get 100k a year but you become naked for exactly one second at a random time each month - do you take it? By randomly I mean you cannot predict this in any way at all. After the second elapses you will be fully clothed again. Could be when you’re sleeping, giving a presentation at work, walking down the street, etc (Stolen from Reddit)

I wouldn’t mind as long as it wasn’t at church or in Sainsbury’s

Time freezes for 10 years, but you get £10 billion when it unfreezes - do you take it? Everything but you is frozen still.

Probably not. I’m pretty sure I’d put Leto, family and friends before wealth. Could there be a compromise somehow. ?

Feel free to discuss anything here. Has anyone ever tried reducing their screen time? Last year I deleted TikTok as I found it so addictive. However it wasn't long until I simply moved onto getting that fix from Instagram Reels. So I just deleted Instagram, Facebook & Reddit from my phone too. 😬

My waste of time is X and getting outraged by some of the reporting on there.

@Nick Benger most of its rubbish but there’s an occasional different view on something the press are ignoring
Over the weather
We've had a few good walks lately, I'm trying to be consistent with it as I really want to get some of the reactions knocked out. Even in the awful weather we have been out. Yesterday started with rain then ended in some stupid snow blizzard,so random. Things I've noticed. He is still doing some slight parkour off the furniture on the way to the front door but he is listening and waiting while I put my coat on instead of grabbing the arm of my coat or throwing his body at the door constantly. He is realising the noise level has to be zero and his arse needs to be on the floor before I'm opening the door. His recovery has been a bit faster if he has had a melt down outside but we have also managed to walk past a few dogs with no reaction at all and he hasn't been getting excited over cars either. Trucks and motor bikes still get him but im sure it's a noise thing more than the actually type of vehicle. I had a moment when I thought I was set for a big idiot moment as someones dogs was barking at him and jumping about but he just trotted past with out any response at all. I'm starting to think his reactions are definitely dependent on what mood he is in. If he is too crazy when we leave that continues in the first part of the walk. He is hard work sometimes (most the time) but then he gives me something and I think maybe it's working. Who knows. He has definitely made improvements but not quite as quick as I would see with phoenix. The biggest annoyance at the moment is on lead. His stubbornness with pushing. If I ask him to wait he will keep trying to push through or walk forward it's so annoying. When I open the boot he will try and push through the gate and I'm literally waiting it out every time until he sits down before letting him out of the car. He just looks at me like I'm talking rubbish. If he is off lead at home and I'm opening a gate, his crate or a door he will wait and stay until I say ok. 🤯 he definitely knows what "wait" means, he just apparently can't hear it outside.

You’re getting wins all the time. The online Doberman training group I’m in always reminds us to notice and celebrate the little wins even in the midst of chaos. Not always easy though. 😫😫

Live with husband and 4 yr old Dobermann, Leto. Leto and I trained with Nick when we lived in Bristol but retired and moved away. Good to reconnect.
