Hey what’s good everyone. I’m Aaron from Las Vegas, I work in a paper mill. Im 30 and been eye remote work for a year now seeing post on Austin’s Instagram about it and said why not dive deep in this and see a change. Recently got back from Thailand and it was a big reset physically and mind set change for me that I need a career change.

Hey everyone! I haven’t introduced myself in here officially. I’m Damien and I’m in sales and on the side I help content creators monetize their audience with communities like this. I love staying active with like hiking, working out, and just generally trying new things. I absolutely love side quests, and I want to make it something I’m able to do whenever I want… so we’re working to make this remote thing work!! Super excited to meet everyone. I’m from Cali, where is everyone else from??

Hey Damien! Welcome to remote freedom. I love the skill set, I imagine all the help you provide can be done remote. What sort of side quests are you hoping to accomplish in 2026?

Asked My Manager About Going Fully Remote ⬇️
I did a thing. For the past 2 years, my role required being on-site. Since then, the company has evolved with new structure, new management, and with that came more flexibility. Some teams have successfully made hybrid and remote work and it’s been working. I emailed my manager to request a discussion about going fully remote during our next one-on-one meeting. If you’ve successfully gone fully remote, what worked for you?

Hey Dennis, way to ask! I did the same thing with my manager. My situation was a little different I was negotiating to work remote in Mexico. But I noticed what really worked for me was removing all responsibilities and risk from my manager. Some managers honestly don't care as long as it doesn't come back to bite them. I wrote up both a performance plan and offered to change plans if I didn't meet my KPIs. You want to give them an almost no risk to them option. Mine was "I will try remote for 30days and you will see, not only can it work, but I will perform better. If I don't, we will return to how it is now asap" Just make sure you really get things done in those 30 days, because any drop in performance will probably be blamed on you being remote. @Dennis Orellana Let us know how it goes and if you get any push back, maybe we can help come up with a counter.
Monday Motivation - Certifications and Bootcamps
Back to the Monday grind ya'll. Whether you’re waking up in Japan, Colombia, or Ohio, starting the work week without a clear vision of your future can suck. A crystal-clear plan matters, so the speed bumps and boring tasks along the way don’t knock you off course. One of the biggest decisions a lot of people going remote have to make is around certifications and bootcamps: - Which certifications are actually worth it? - Are bootcamps a good investment? - Can you really land a job with X certification? - How do you choose wisely and avoid wasting time or money? With college becoming less of a requirement in many fields, highly motivated people can now shave years of time and massive debt off their goals by choosing the right certifications and learning paths. That’s why one of our members, @Patrick Horton , has written in-depth articles on this exact process and he’ll be breaking them down live on Tuesday’s group call. Our goal is to help you pick the right bootcamps or certifications and actually understand their value, so your remote plan is clearer and more intentional. If certifications or bootcamps are on your radar, make sure you join live. If you can’t make it, the session will be recorded and saved in the Group Calls tab: https://www.skool.com/remotefreedom-7475/classroom/02a0568b?md=1126949d690e4e419c0e039968472ffa Remember: going remote is a marathon, not a sprint. Stay consistent.
