🧭 Mission Monday: The ā€œImpossibleā€ Ukulele Goal
It’s January 5, the new year is upon us! Let's set our Ź»ukulele mission this year. This isn’t a New Year’s resolution... It's an intentionally impossible ukulele goal. Not something you expect to finish this year. Something big enough that it forces better practice, better focus, and better choices. This might take years. That’s the point. If you’re brand new, your ā€œimpossibleā€ goal might be small on paper, and that’s fine. If you’ve been playing a while, it might feel overwhelming, but that's on purpose. Examples in the poll, just for framing, yours can be anything! If so, choose the last one and share in the comments! This week’s mission: - Define your impossible ukulele goal - Choose one tiny action that moves you toward it No gear talk. Play what you have. šŸ’¬ Comment with: 1. Your impossible ukulele goal 2. One small step you’ll take this week

@Kāʻili Wells Jr. Can do. I didn't take step by step photos when I made the Cock-rock-ulele but I can do a bit more detail on it (it ever so nearly went to the tip during the Xmas clearout, glad I held onto it now) I was trying to learn electronics for work around the same time and so, since I learn better by doing things, I had a crack at making guitar pedals (the one in the picture up there ^ is a fuzz face) - they're a fun, relatively simple winter project when it's too cold to go out to the garage. As such I've got a stockpile of easyish circuit schematics and links to some good websites if anyone wants to go down that wormhole..

@Kāʻili Wells Jr. If me and my abysmal soldering skills can make it work then absolutely anyone can do it šŸ˜„
Welcome Adam — quick intro, quick win šŸ¤™šŸ½
Aloha mai @Adam Knight šŸ¤™šŸ½ glad you joined! Looks like the Skool ad did its job šŸ˜‚ (I still haven’t made my own ads, so that’s hilarious.) You said 2 years playing and want to improve chord progressions — perfect. If you wanna see the minimal stuff that I have right now: pinned Start Here post → intro comment → Crash Course link inside it. I'll take any feedback you have since it's still in beta! Drop one progression you’re working on and I’ll point you to a drill. More like I'll film something real quick for you to get your feet wet.
Welcome Adam — quick intro, quick win šŸ¤™šŸ½

The atrocious cheapo uke that I inherited from my son was a soprano and felt a bit cramped, so I went with a tenor when I bought a proper one. Gives me more room, but makes the spread out chords a bit more challenging

I had a look at the crash course video by the way - it looks like it'll be a great deal of help when I get time to have a proper watch, thanks so much.
