I had a call today with @Kāʻili Wells Jr., and I am already SO excited for how I’m going to grow as a ukulele player now that I have this support. I’ve been playing for 12-13 years now, but never took lessons aside from some random online classes and YouTube tutorials. But it’s so different getting live feedback from Ka`ili who is helping me understand more of what I want from my ukulele playing, and showing me a path for how to get there without a bunch of boring tutorials that aren’t even so relevant to me anyway. If you’re in this group and you haven’t talked to Ka`ili yet, make sure you do!

Just being straight — I didn’t join because I’m trying to learn ukulele right now. I’m here to hang out with folks who actually stick with a skill instead of bouncing between random advice. In the outdoors, the nights that go smooth usually come from one quiet choice earlier in the day: keep it simple, do the basics, don’t overthink it. Same idea shows up in any craft. It’s January 5, the new year is upon us! Let's set our ʻukulele mission this year. This isn’t a New Year’s resolution... It's an intentionally impossible ukulele goal. Not something you expect to finish this year. Something big enough that it forces better practice, better focus, and better choices. This might take years. That’s the point.
