Great call with Ka`ili!
I had a call today with @Kāʻili Wells Jr., and I am already SO excited for how I’m going to grow as a ukulele player now that I have this support. I’ve been playing for 12-13 years now, but never took lessons aside from some random online classes and YouTube tutorials. But it’s so different getting live feedback from Ka`ili who is helping me understand more of what I want from my ukulele playing, and showing me a path for how to get there without a bunch of boring tutorials that aren’t even so relevant to me anyway. If you’re in this group and you haven’t talked to Ka`ili yet, make sure you do!
Great call with Ka`ili!
Evening, Nerds 🌙😎
Just being straight — I didn’t join because I’m trying to learn ukulele right now. I’m here to hang out with folks who actually stick with a skill instead of bouncing between random advice. In the outdoors, the nights that go smooth usually come from one quiet choice earlier in the day: keep it simple, do the basics, don’t overthink it. Same idea shows up in any craft. So here’s what I’m curious about tonight 👇 When you’re tired and your hands aren’t cooperating… what’s the call you make that keeps you consistent? Do you still do a 60-second “minimum rep”… or do you shut it down on purpose and come back fresh? Where the Map Ends, The WILD begins!! Stay Rugged.

🧭 Mission Monday: Yes or No?
Quick check... When you sit down to practice… Do you usually know why you’re practicing what you’re practicing? No judgment. Just honesty. This week’s mission is simple: Before you play, ask one question: Does this help my long-term ukulele goal… or not? If it helps, do it. If it doesn’t, skip it. Even 10 minutes counts if it’s on purpose.

🧭 Mission Monday: The “Impossible” Ukulele Goal
It’s January 5, the new year is upon us! Let's set our ʻukulele mission this year. This isn’t a New Year’s resolution... It's an intentionally impossible ukulele goal. Not something you expect to finish this year. Something big enough that it forces better practice, better focus, and better choices. This might take years. That’s the point. If you’re brand new, your “impossible” goal might be small on paper, and that’s fine. If you’ve been playing a while, it might feel overwhelming, but that's on purpose. Examples in the poll, just for framing, yours can be anything! If so, choose the last one and share in the comments! This week’s mission: - Define your impossible ukulele goal - Choose one tiny action that moves you toward it No gear talk. Play what you have. 💬 Comment with: 1. Your impossible ukulele goal 2. One small step you’ll take this week
