My throat is healing very well by itself--this is GREAT news! I have been trying not to speak for about 8 days and that has REALLY helped. I did find out I have high blood pressure~!!! ALL is good and I should be able to do the next Answers video (I hope) but for sure the next Explanation video. I have to ease back into my speak-heavy work and am SO happy the doctor said I can start doing a little over weekend. Thank you ALL for your understanding and well-wishes. Well, there's been no change. I have a referral to go to an ENT doctor--hopefully I can get in early in the week. I'm unable to speak~~~ This is a nightmare for me and I truly apologize to you all. Don't worry, I have contingency plans in place so things will "go as normal" but please understand any bumps that we may have in the system. My doctor thinks it might be a tear in my vocal cords, but I need to see a specialist to verify anything.

I'm now dealing with a very sore throat. It's been just over a week and it's not getting better. Really, really sore. Hurts constantly~ Doctor said I need to rest...so I've been trying to rest. With two monkeys! UPDATE 10/29: Went to the doctor. It's not strep throat. They told me to "keep on keeping on". Salt (and Coke) gargles, honey/ginger teas (will look for Manuka, Yulong), and rest. It's ten days now...very frustrating. Ibuprofen does nothing for the pain, so I'll try acetaminophen. It's the pain that is most stressful. Stay healthy--talk to you soon. Wake me when October ends.
