🌟 Let’s See Your Logo! 🌱
A great logo is key to building a strong lawn care business. It’s the face of your brand and the first step in creating recognition with your customers. Did you know most people need to see a business over seven times before they remember it? A good logo helps make those impressions stick! When creating your logo, you have a few options: 🎨 Design it yourself: Great if you have experience, but tricky otherwise. 📷 Use clip art: Be cautious here! Check licensing rules, and remember—you won’t be the only one using that image. 💼 Hire a designer: Try affordable options like Fiverr or crowdsourced competitions on DesignCrowd for more professional results. 🖌️ Free tools: Sites like Vistaprint let you design your logo for free and download it in multiple formats for easy use across websites, signs, and print materials. ⚠️ Pro Tips for Logos: Always check for originality using a reverse Google Image search. Ensure your file is high-resolution so it looks sharp on everything from business cards to truck decals. Now it’s your turn—have you got your logo sorted? Share it in the comments below! We’d love to see what represents your business. Let’s celebrate your creativity and inspire others! Drop your logo in the comments ⬇️🌟

This was very helpful. I made my logo a different way just to get going, and I'm on my 2nd year now, stuck with the same logo because I don't have the time to change it or the extra money to pay someone to make me a logo right now. Lol. It's a process to start your own business for sure. If someone told me owning my own business would mean just about 100% of my time would be consumed with everything that goes with owning/starting a business I may have went a different route, but working for myself is so much more rewarding at the end of each day.

I'm Aaron from Lebanon, Maine. I'm currently trying to build my customer list and get more work as I don't have a full weeks work for myself yet. I know I'll get there though. My main goal right now is to make a liveable wage.

Lovejoy's Lawn Care on Lebanon, Maine, USA
Who am I? What do I do?
Well......my name's Aaron and I started Lovejoy's Lawn Care back in April of 2024. Not really knowing anything about running a business or how to run a business I decide to jump in.......all the way in.......feet first........into working for myself / by myself. The solo doing it all myself thing isn't easy as I now have right around 15 or so customers (between the weekly's, bi-weekly's, and once monthly's) that I mow for. So far I love doing what I do and getting out there meeting new people and transforming lawns. I'm from Southern Maine, USA. My goal for 2025: To make more money and to add some more customers to my client list. With what I currently have for customers I don't even make $500 a week and I feel like I should at least be making a liveable wage. Maybe I'm wrong?? Long term goal: To get a 4x4 truck with a plow for snow removal when the time comes. To be able to move into more profitable areas with a team of 2 to 4 employees. I would start small with the whole having employees because I really do enjoy doing it solo. I look forward to getting to know y'all. Feel free to drop your tips, tricks, advice, whatever you think might be helpful to me going into my second season. I've just been doing trial and error. Also just to add....... I'm searching for a way to market my business without having to spend money (I have no funds for marketing).
I built a system. And it changed everything for my business.
Not some fancy software. No tech headaches. Just a setup that quietly brings in leads, filters out tyre-kickers, and fills our calendar with the kind of jobs we actually want. Now we work 20 hours a week and still crack six figures. We rank high on Google. Our quoting’s tight. We’re booked solid with work that suits us. But it wasn’t always this easy. I used to chase every job. Drove all around town for work. Quoted all day only to get ghosted. I’d finish the week flat out... and still feel like I was falling behind. If you’ve been there, you know the grind. A lot of people people stay stuck in it because they don’t have time to fix the backend or energy left to figure it out. What changed it for me wasn’t working harder. It was building something smarter. What have you done recently to change your business for the better?

I haven't published my website (I used Solo to build my website ) yet, but with very little time left to spend working on it.....it will be published very soon, I've joined GreenPal and LawnStarter, I'm on Facebook, Bing for Business, Google, Yelp. I had a few shirts made up last year and business cards. I lack money for marketing.....to run ads and whatnot

I started my own Lawn Care Service in April of 2024. I ended that first season with around 10 very happy customers. I love mowing lawns.
