Welcome to ADHDreamer
Welcome to ADHDreamer. If you’re here, you’ve probably felt stuck before. You start strong, then fall off. You procrastinate. You feel behind. And eventually, you end up blaming yourself. I want you to hear this clearly: You’re not lazy. You’re not broken. Your brain just works differently not worse. I’m Steve. I’m a dad, and for years I worked 40+ hours a week while feeling overwhelmed, disorganised, and like I was missing out on my own life. I kept trying to force myself into systems that were never built for how my ADHD brain actually works. Nothing changed until I stopped trying to fix myself and started building systems that fit me. That’s why I created ADHDreamer. This is not a hustle space. This is not a productivity bootcamp. And you don’t need motivation to be here. This space is built for ADHD brains: - You don’t have to keep up - You don’t have to post - You can disappear and come back - Reading quietly still counts Progress here is non-linear and that’s allowed. We focus on: - reducing unnecessary pressure - building momentum without shame - designing life and work around your brain, not agains it If you want to, you can introduce yourself in the Start Here thread. No pressure but if it helps, you can answer: - one system you’re tired of forcing - one thing you want more freedom from That’s it. You don’t need to catch up. You don’t need to prove anything. Just land. Welcome to ADHDreamer.

Hi, I’m Aakash, most of my friends call me AP. I’m 27 and currently living in Calgary, Canada and working as a Data and AI Engineer. Over the last couple of years, I’ve started noticing some patterns in myself that seem related to ADHD. I haven’t had a professional consultation yet, so nothing is officially diagnosed, but what I’ve noticed in my own life doesn’t feel normal to me anymore. I think I’m a very ambitious person. I’m always setting new goals, creating routines, making plans, trying to learn new things, and dreaming big. The problem is that I almost never finish what I start. I remember back in 2016 during my bachelor’s degree, I used to watch a lot of movies, but I could never finish a movie in one sitting. It would take me two or three days, sometimes even four or five days, to finish a two and a half hour movie. At the time, I had no idea why I was like that. Recently, after reading more about ADHD, I started connecting the dots and things began to make sense. Even today, I’m very focused on productivity, routines, and upskilling myself. I’ve bought many courses on Udemy and Coursera, but I haven’t completed a single one. I start with full motivation, then I lose the drive and stop. The plan that felt perfect in the beginning suddenly feels pointless, or my brain tells me I already know this, so I quit. The same thing happens with books. I have so many books, both physical and digital. I genuinely try to read them, but I’ve never been able to finish one. Sometimes I think it’s limiting beliefs, sometimes I honestly don’t know what’s going on. Fitness is another example. I’ve had two coaches in the past. I know I’m capable of building a great physique, but even with coaches, I wasn’t able to achieve much. For a long time, I was very harsh on myself. I kept thinking I wasn’t good enough. Everyone around me seemed so disciplined and successful, able to achieve their goals, and I couldn’t understand why I couldn’t do the same. A few months ago, I came across the term ADHD, but I didn’t really understand it. As I learned more, I realized something important. I’m not lazy at all. In fact, in my friend circle, I feel like I’m one of the most hardworking people, always dreaming big and trying to move forward. It just feels like something in my brain pulls the brakes halfway through.
