My Joy Zone
I have little to no musical ability (although I sing a great note in the shower 😁) but coming here and listening to amazing music is so inspirational. My joy zone is when I move. Each morning I do a 5km walk. No headphones or phone just me, my dogs and the outdoors. It really brings me joy and starts the day off just right. Most days I also go to the gym. It serves as a form of meditation and it has helped me cope with my depression. I haven't taken any antidepressants in almost 30 years and that's down to finding my joy in training. Thank you for making this community @Rositsa Aleksandrova , it is absolutely incredible ❤️ Photo is from this morning, right before my morning swim

a way to start noodling
If you are feeling like you can't play something you want, you can simplify like they did for this octopus. The "piano" for the octopus was in a key so that no matter what note was played, it would sound okay. Similarly, you can restrict yourself to only black keys or only white keys and your simplified song will come out easier. Other simplifications, play any two notes that are one key separated from each other (never right next to each other), called thirds. Just a way to start noodling. Thanks for the inspiration @Chanie Twersky ! https://youtu.be/uEOguGKRTtg

✨12 Songs of Christmas Joy Quest ✨ Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer | Tutorial + Sheet Music
Oh hey!!! Our 4th song of these series for your Joy gettin fun is Rudolph!!!! Sharing a tutorial for those that can’t read yet, sheet music for those that do and the song itself!!! As a reminder what you can do with that: - play the song - as is - whether you read it or learn it from the tutorial - play it on a different instrument!! I am totally doing this BTW 😆 - sing it - I love it!!!!! - use the tutorial as a guiding melody and add some chords and arpeggios - or/and completely improvise over the melody I am so doing all the above!!!!!!!!!!!! What about you? What will do with it!?

Celebrating 700 days Spanish streak!! And a couple of other things 🥰
Hi Tribers! As per usual - until further notice, celebrate everything!!!! (MMM) I started learning Spanish like 2 years ago from an app called Duo Lingo. My reason - I got booked to play Eclipse festival in Mazatlán, Mexico and wanted to do less touristy stuffs while there AND speak with the locals in their native language. I did understand mostly everything and responding was a bit tricky… I feel like the best way to learn any language is to live in the country and submerge yourself completely in the culture… When that’s not the case, Duo Lingo is a great alternative, slower of course and yet captivating. Me and @Nadzee A are having a friend streak - it’s fun! It seems like a long time 700 days and a lot of dedication… time flies tho, when you are having fun. Heck, I even bought a star link so I can continue my daily practice while at Burning Man lol For those of you who have not been at Burning Man - there is absolutely no cell coverage there EVER 😅 100k people… Anyways, sharing this gratitude I have! P.S. also grateful that we found Chad, he is a member of our Goosify and all of us have been worrying for days for him! And, grateful for my successful interview for a Skool podcast - should be coming out next week sometime. Regardless of my controversial opinion on a few Skool related topics, the interviewing person was encouraging and entertaining — and I said what I have to say! lol For sure will piss some people off! For sure that doesn’t bother me - easier to sort through the BS… Cuz… YOUR VIBE ATTRACTS YOUR TRIBE! Just like says in my profile — for a reason! People love me - because I say it how it is. Some can’t stand me - because I say it is 😅 You can’t be everyone’s cup of cake… or you will end up being a doormat. Been there done that. Thank you but no thank you! Tell me what are you grateful for??

Are you putting yourself 1st? I didn’t…
Last night I went through so much!! It all happened after reading a comment of @Chanie Twersky in this post. I cried ALOT realizing ALOT!! I realized that all my life I was ignoring the wants and needs of my soul and putting others first even if they don’t deserve it… If I could help - I always did. It felt like my duty. It felt like if I didn’t help when I can, I’d be a bad person. But some people do not deserve our energy, time and efforts. Reciprocity is a key factor. And, I am not saying to do things for others with an expectation of receiving something in return!! I am saying, that if there is a proven track record of this person consistently treating you like a doormat, set healthy boundaries!!! Protect yourself!!! Takers… just take! It’s up to US to lay those boundaries. And something to be said about… sometimes we just outgrow friendships. And we got to let go to let in… Do you regularly audit your “friends”?
Are you putting yourself 1st? I didn’t…

@Rositsa Aleksandrova Excellent post and I am really happy that you had this revelation! I can relate to what you said and as I have a very close inner circle of friends. You are so strong and courageous with a wonderful heart! Choosing to take care of yourself and set boundaries is very healthy, you have to take care of yourself always! Of course we love to help others always but choosing wisely on who you spend your time and energy on is key, especially if there is no reciprocity! You’re amazing and I love you very much😘
