It’s super simple, but it was so fun to learn! Gratitude for my son being patient with me as I learn it. I’m looking forward to learning more and going through the classroom!

I tend to be very busy, so when I saw @Rositsa Aleksandrova ’s post about just playing for your own happiness for 5 minutes at a time throughout the day instead of worrying about long practice sessions, I loved it! I have been taking her advice and I am loving it🙏 Thanks Rositsa!

You can find them here #Starting to read - few songs using hand positions 👈 The first pinned below is a demo of how the songs are supposed to sound when done and the second pinned is an actual in depth tutorial. Using hand positions helps you get into sight reading sooner, get a feel for the keys and not overthink what to press :) Please feel free to ask me ANY questions in the comments and I can’t wait for you to play these!!!! 🎹✨🫶

Hi Tribers!! A few days ago, I shared these songs demoed - in full speed, shot form the side w my iPhone. I also shared the sheet music for them and will share again here. Level wise - I say late beginners cuz you kind of read a little already when you play these. So, not for complete beginners. If you are super brand spanking new, this will sound like gibberish 😂😂✨ Go to classroom in that case :) ask me or anyone here anything if something is unclear! @Wayla Freedom & @Phil Smith asked me to make another video, shot from above and showing my hands clearly and the hand positioning & in addition to the demo, to add slowed down versions of all of them. And so I did 😃💕 These songs help with getting used to not look at your hands while playing by using specific hand positions and “feeling” the keys rather than looking at them by using the geography of the keyboard. It also uses harmonic and melodic intervals - helps with sight reading by using the relationship and distances between notes. It also helps with technic - playing 2 times faster in one of the hands.
