@Marc-André Labelle - sounded great and didn’t look weird at all. Such a nice contrast with the soft comping whereas with the plectrum the solo lines stand out so clearly. Loved it!

@Ashwini Nepal - totally agree with Mentor Bob’s careful and thorough analysis. Focus on one variable at a time. I notice that your tone has dramatically improved from your first recording. You are making strong progress quickly. Speed up the tempo and have fun! This takes time - don’t overthink it! Great job!

@Nancy R - well alright alright! That’s sounding swingy! To me I can already see the motor skills improving- it just takes time and reps for the fingers to get used to these weird jazzy chord shapes. It will come. I like that you’re humming a little while playing- I think that’s a good technique and helps with timing and relaxing. The minor7 semi-bar chord sounds will come - I think that the tendons in the fingers stretch a bit after playing these shapes over time. I still struggle with a minor6 shape after over a year of playing this shape - but could begin to hit it a year ago. I imagine that Mentor Bob will have some great advice here. Anyway- well over 80 percent proficiency in these three études IMO. Good job!

@Marc-André Labelle - I guess that I knew that was the case - and yes it’s sad that improv just isn’t taught anymore in classical studies.
